WIN 1 of 5 copies of Iceberg by Claire Saxby

An iceberg is born into spring and shifts through the seasons, before dying in a new spring. A stunning narrative non-fiction book that crystallises the importance of climate change and the fragility of the Antarctic ecosystem, from award-winning picture book creators Claire Saxby and Jess Racklyeft.

For Claire, writing Iceberg involved researching ‘how the waxing and waning of the light connected to the waxing and waning activity in, on and below the ice.’ She discovered ‘krill that defy aging, actually regressing to more juvenile forms to survive winter, and algae that survives while bound up in ice only to multiply as summer nears.’ Her work is truly fascinating.

Enter your code word from The West Australian PLAY Magazine 13 February or The Sunday Times Guide 14 February for your chance to WIN.

Entries open February 13 and close midday 19 February 2021.
