South Australia and South Africa are both famed for their wine regions; whether it be the picturesque Paarl or Stellenbosch or the famed Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale. In this progressive lunch we will explore the different wines that are grown in both South Africa and South Australia as well as exploring all the amazing aspects of South African food. We will be venturing into the world of Chenin Blanc and Pinotage and looking at classic examples of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon as our executive chef looks at classic food on the Braai (barbie).
This unique dining experience with the National Wine Centre will take you 'On Safari' as you enjoy a progressive lunch, working your way through different parts of the venue and comparing spectacular examples of wine from both regions.
Executive Chef Steven Clark has designed a menu that showcases classic South African dishes made with South Australian produce and will be on hand to answer questions about traditional cooking techniques.
