In RISEN, disaster unfolds in a farming town in upstate New York when a meteor strike turns the air toxic. Plants, animals, and humans begin to die. An exobiologist is called in to find answers for this unearthly event, drawn into the effort to save mankind. Meanwhile, a gigantic tree has grown at the site of the meteorite impact, bearing an experimental seed sent our way, in search of a new home.
This Australian premiere screening will feature an introduction by director Eddie Arya.
