Game of Skill Competition - Terms and Conditions
Part 1
1. Information on how to enter and on the prizes form part of these terms and conditions. Any entry not complying with these terms and conditions is invalid. By participating in the promotion, entrants agree to be bound by the Conditions.
2. The Promotional Period begins at 09.00am (AEDT) on Monday 11 April 2022 and closes at 6.00pm (AEST) on Monday 18 April 2022.
3. Entry is open to residents of Australia. The first entrant who correctly enters the accurate number of easter eggs in the jar through the submission form throughout the duration of the competition will be able to win the jar of easter eggs. The entrants must complete a numbered submission form into the allocated box to have a valid entry during the promotional period. Only one entry per person will be accepted.
4. Dymocks accepts no responsibility for entries not received due to any technical problems including any late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if illegitimate, manipulated or tampered in any way.
5. This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. All entries will be judged individually on their correctness. The first correct entry, as determined by the judges will receive the prize. If no entrants have the correct number of eggs then judges will choose one winner based on the valid entry with the closest number to the accurate number of eggs in the jar
6. One (1) winner will win the Dymocks In-Store Easter Egg Guessing Competition prize comprised of the Easter eggs from the guessing competition, valued at AUD$55.99 individual prize components listed in Part 2 – Prizes.
7. The judging will take place at 09.00am on Tuesday 19 April 2022 at Level 10, 428 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000. The winner will be notified via email and announced on the Dymocks website (Dymocks.com.au).
8. All decisions by the judges are final and binding on every person who enters. No further correspondence will be entered into.
9. The winners will be announced by Tuesday 26 April 2022 on the Dymocks website and notified via email
10. The prize pack is worth AUD$55.99. The total prize pool is valued at up to AUD$55.99. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
11. In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, then the Promoter may, but is not obliged to substitute a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
12. The winner must be over the age of 18. If the winner is not over the age of 18, the prize will be awarded to their parent or guardian on their behalf.
13. The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of identity and residential address of winners and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this promotion.
14. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered (even if caused by negligence) as a result of accepting and/or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
15. Before the prize is awarded, the winner and any other person(s) sharing the prize with the winner may be required to sign an agreement to release the Promoter from and indemnify the Promoter against any liability arising from the use or participation in the prize. Irrespective of whether an entrant signs a release, by entering in the Promotion each entrant is deemed to release the Promoter from and indemnify the Promoter against any liability, loss, cost, damage, claim, demand, proceeding or litigation of any kind relating to the use or participation in the prize.
16. Information collected from entrants will be used in accordance with the terms of the Promoter’s Privacy Policy which can be viewed at
https://www.dymocks.com.au/faq/privacy-security/. Information collected as part of the promotion will be used for the purpose of conducting this promotion (which may include disclosure to third parties, including local lottery authorities, for the purpose of processing and conducting the promotion) and for promotional purposes surrounding this promotion. By entering this promotion entrants consent to the use of their information as described and agree that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment to the entrant.
17. Entrants confirm and promise that their entry is original and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. Dymocks reserves the right to disqualify unsuitable entries.
18. If insufficient entries have been received in the opinion of the promoter, Dymocks reserves the right to cancel the competition.
19. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice and their entry in the event that they are a winner in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
