Win a New Release Children's Book by Sarah Armstrong
Melbourne based writer who is a travel junkie, dedicated foodie and emerging photographer.
Author Sarah Armstrong has just released her first children's book, Big Magic, and to celebrate, is giving away two signed copies.
Sarah was an award-winning ABC journalist before writing three novels for adults, including Salt Rain, which was shortlisted for the Miles Franklin Award.
Sarah credits the arrival of her daughter, Amelia, with her interest in writing for children.
"When I started writing novels (for adults), I assumed that's what I would always write. Then I had a child and started reading to her. It was a revelation... I fell in love with children's books, all over again," said Sarah. "I knew that I wanted to join that world of children's literature. And so Big Magic was born."
Big Magic is Sarah's first children's book
"Big Magic is a story of magic passed down the maternal line, that includes all the things I most loved reading about as a kid: a brave girl, the power of nature, growing up, parallel universes and the circus," Sarah explains.
Big Magic is suitable for readers aged 9 and up.
