Coming to QPAC from September 20–24, The Human Voice & The Call is a tantalising two-part opera concert that’s set to be a treat for the senses. The show kicks off with The Human Voice (La Voix Humaine) starring Alexandra Flood. This stirring story centres around the tragic outcome of a call from an ex-lover and will leave audiences mesmerised by the incredible music of French composer Francis Poulenc. The next chapter in the series arrives when the curtain is lifted for The Call, a new Australian work composed by Connor D’Netto working with Kate Miller-Heidke and Keir Nuttall. This intoxicating production stars Ali McGregor (Lorelei) as a woman left with nothing but a phone number and a chance to make a destiny-changing phone call.
Both performances will come to life with help from talented conductor and rising star Zoe Zeniodi, who will lead a full-strength Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
