Illustrations Of Love

This Valentine’s Day we are celebrating love with “Illustrations of Love”.

We are asking our community to tell us how they met their loved one along with submitting a photograph of themselves and their Valentine. The top most interesting “meet-cute” stories will win a beautiful portrait illustration of the photograph they submitted, hand drawn by local Brisbane artist, Katrina Potter to make the perfect gift this Valentine’s Day.

Meet-Cute Definition: noun.

(in a film or television program) an amusing or charming first encounter between two characters that leads to the development of a romantic relationship between them.
All submitted meet-cute stories and the 5 winning illustrations will be on display on our digital platforms and in the Centre in the few days leading up to Valentine’s Day (only with consent, of course).

"Illustrations of Love" does not discriminate and is inclusive of all types of love from a new relationship that’s recently bloomed, LGBTQI couples, couples that have spent 50 years together, the love affair between a dog and their owner and even the love between two best friends.
