Terms and conditions
The promoter of the competition is: the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees of Western Australia (“SDA WA”) and its registered office is located at 5th floor 25 Barrack Street, Perth WA 6000.
Entry to the competition
The competition is open to current financial members of SDA WA (“Current Members”, “Current Member”), with the exception of employees of SDA WA Branch and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
There is no entry fee and no purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
By entering the competition, the entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

6.1 "in 50 words or less, please tell us how safety could be improved at your workplace"
Only one Entry will be accepted per person. Multiple Entries from the same person will be disqualified.
Closing date for entry will be 31st of August 2023 “Closing Date” After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
No responsibility can be accepted for Entries not received for whatever reason.
Prizes
The following prizes are on offer: 3rd place: $250, 2nd place: $500 and, 1st place: $1000
The prizes are as stated and other alternatives will not be offered. The prizes are not transferable. SDA WA is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
Winners
Winners will be judged by the Secretary and Assistant Secretary of the SDA WA Branch from Entries received and verified by SDA WA and/ or its agents within 30 days after the Closing Date.
Winners will be notified by email and/or phone, and/or by letter within 28 days of the Closing Date.
In the event that a winner cannot be contacted, or a winner does not claim the prize within 14 days of SDA WA contacting them, SDA WA reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner in the manner specified in clause 13 above.
Winners must be able to verify that they are Current Members of SDA WA in order to receive their prize.
SDA WA will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered.
Winners agree to the use of their name, image and Entry in any SDA WA’s publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner(s) or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Australian data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
Jurisdiction
The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
SDA WA’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
