FULL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.  Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. By entering the promotion, participants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

 

2. Participants must be a subscriber to the Tourism and Events Queensland’s enewsletter and who currently reside in Australia.

 

3.  Employees of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion, and their immediate family members are ineligible to enter the promotion.

 

4. You will be entered into the promotion by visiting https://www.queensland.com/au/en/info/win-ultimate-brisbane-getaway and completing the entry form. You can only enter the competition once per person, per email address. The promotion will open at 9.00am (Queensland time) on 30 January 2024 and close at 5.00pm (Queensland time) on 13 February 2024.

 

5. Entrants will need to answer in 25 words or less, tell us which Brisbane experience from the prize list you're most excited about and why? to win a trip for two to Brisbane. The prize will include return domestic airfares from the nearest Australian capital city for two, return transfers from the airport to the accommodation, a two-night stay at the W Brisbane, dinner at Vertigo restaurant, an up-late tour of the Fairy Tales exhibition at GOMA and a $500 VISA spending card.

 

6. The winner’s use of the prize is subject to the prize conditions and any additional conditions imposed by the supplier(s) of the prize.

 

7.  To participate in the Vertigo dinner, you must:

(a) Weigh more than 25kg and less than 120kg (maximum harness circumference is 115cm)

(b) exceed 110cm in height

(c) be 10 years of age or older

(d) not be pregnant

(e) have a blood alcohol level of 0.00% at the start of your experience.

 

8. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter.  Entries will be judged individually on their merits based upon the following criteria:

(a) Originality

(b) Clarity of participant’s expression to the question

(c) Humour

(d) Adherence to competition theme

The Judges’ decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into any correspondence regarding the result.

 

9. The winner will be selected on Monday 19 February 2024 at 515 St Pauls Terrace, Fortitude Valley, 4006.  The winner will be notified by email on 19 February 2024 and must respond and accept the prize within 5 days.  If a prize is not claimed within 5 days of the draw, an alternative winner will be selected at the discretion of the Promoter.

 

10.  Any transfer costs to attend the prize inclusions must be arranged and paid for by the winner.

 

11.  This prize cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash.

 

12.  If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value. It is a condition of accepting a prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and prize supplier’s requirements. Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated.

 

13. By entering the promotion, participants accept that the Promoter may use their name and likeness for their promotional and publicity purposes without the payment of any fee. Participants accept that the Promoter will be capturing personal information to administer the promotion.

 

14. Each participant releases and indemnifies Tourism and Events Queensland against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of a prize or participation in the promotion.
