Competition: Your Story is our Story website competition
The Promoter: Gold Corporation trading as The Perth Mint (ABN 98 838 298 431)
Premises 310 Hay Street, East Perth, WA 6004 Australia
Competition Period: Start date: 7 May 2024 at 9:00 am AWST.
End date: 31 December 2024 at 11.59 pm AWST.
Eligibility: Entry is only open to:
a. all customers (Entrant) of the Promoter who are 18 years of age or over; and
b. an Entrant under the age of 18 years must seek the consent / approval of their
parent or legal guardian before that entry can be valid.

Entry method: During the Competition Period, the Promoter will operate an interactive webpage
(Interactive Webpage)
https://celebrate.perthmint.com/ in celebration of its 125th
anniversary and to participate in this Competition an Entrant must:
a. prepare a written story (Your Story) of not more than 500 words about their
personal favourite experience at The Perth Mint, a favourite product purchased
from The Perth Mint, or a memory of someone related to you who was a previous
employee of the Promoter.
b. visit the Interactive Webpage and click on the “Tell Us Your Story” section to
complete the Entry Form and submit Your Story.
c. ensure they are available to provide further information and/or photograph if
contacted by the Promoter.
Judging Criteria Entries will be judged on how compelling and interesting they are, their originality and
relevance to the subject of The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary.
Entry limit: The number of entries permitted for this Competition is limited to one (1) valid entry per
Entrant per round. The Competition comprises of 3 rounds and there will be 3 winners
chosen by the judging panel on the dates set out in the Draw Date. Each winner will receive
1 x The Perth Mint’s 125 Anniversary 2024 1oz Silver Proof Coin.

Draw method: a. All entries received and verified by the Promoter will be judged by a panel of 3
judges appointed by the Promoter.
b. All entries will be judged individually on their merit based on the Judging Criteria.
c. A winner will be chosen by the judging panel every 3 months on 12 July 2024, 12
October 2024 and 12 January 2025 at 9:00 am AWST (Draw Date).
How to Claim Prize:

❖ The winners of the Competition must claim the prize by the 9th day of the
following month after being notified by the Promoter at 9:00 am AWST.
❖ If the prize remains unclaimed, the prize will be reallocated to another Entrant.
Winner notification: The winner will be contacted by telephone or email within fourteen (14) days of judging.

Publication: The winning story will be published on the website and social media platforms of the
Promoter.
1. By entering this Competition, the Entrant is indicating his/her acceptance and agreement to be
bound by these Conditions of Entry (and Schedule) and that they have read and understood the
terms and conditions of this Competition (and Schedule).
2. There is no entry fee for this Competition.
3. During the Competition Period, only eligible and valid entries will be considered as an acceptable
entry. Entries inconsistent with these Conditions of Entry will be deemed invalid.
4. Employees of the Promoter, their family members or any person or organisation connected in any
way with this Competition shall not be eligible to enter the Competition.
5. The Promoter will endeavour to contact the winner of this Competition. Where the winner cannot
be contacted or the prize remains unclaimed, the prize may be allocated to another Entrant or
forfeited, and the Promoter will be under no obligation to substitute the prize.
6. Unless expressly specified in writing by the Promoter, the prize cannot be transferred, exchanged, or
redeemed for cash.
7. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of higher or equivalent
specification and value.
8. The Promoter requires the winner to provide proof of identification and if there is any contention
with respect to the winner’s identity, the Promoter reserves the right to determine that which is
considered suitable as appropriate means of identity verification.
9. Each Entrant grants to the Promoter a worldwide, royalty free, perpetual, non-exclusive and
irrevocable licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish and advertise their entries (Your Story) for the
purposes of this Competition, on the Promoter’s website and in all media (now known or being
developed).
10. Each Entrant warrants to the Promoter that each entry (Your Story) submitted is an original work of
the Entrant and does not infringe the rights of any third party.
11. Each Entrant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Promoter, its subsidiaries, directors
and employees from all costs, claims, actions, expenses and damages (of any nature) arising out of
any breach or alleged breach of the warranty in clause 10 above by the Entrant.
12. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of this Competition is final and binding.
13. Each Entrant consents to the Promoter holding, processing, and disclosing personal data including
sensitive personal data provided by the Entrant to the Promoter for all purposes relating to the
performance of this Competition.
14. In compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Promoter is obligated to comply with Australian
Privacy Principles and its Privacy Policy that outlines how the Promoter collects and uses personal

15. For the purpose of this Competition, Entrants’ personal information will not be shared with any third
party located outside Australia.
16. If this Competition cannot be conducted as intended for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right
to cancel, terminate, reschedule or suspend the Competition.
17. The Promoter will not be liable for any tax implications resulting from the Prize winnings and the
winner(s) must obtain independent tax advice to ascertain how this may affect their situation.

18. Notwithstanding any other provision of these Conditions of Entry, the Promoter will not be liable to
the entrant or anyone for indirect or consequential loss or damage of any kind, for loss of revenue,
loss of profit, loss or damage to reputation or goodwill, personal injury or death, whether such
liability arises in contract, tort (including negligence) or equity, under any statue or otherwise arising
out of in any way connected to this Competition.
19. The Promoter’s inability to enforce any of its rights at any stage will not amount to a waiver of these
rights.
20. The terms of this Competition are governed by and is construed in accordance with the laws
applicable in Western Australia and each Entrant submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of
Western Australia
