TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Entry is only open to NSW, ACT, VIC and TAS residents of Australia aged 18 years or older.
Directors, management, employees, officers and contractors (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or stepchild (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
Promotion commences on Saturday November 16, 2024 and closes 11:59pm AEST on Sunday December 8, 2024 (âPromotional Periodâ).
To enter, eligible entrants must, during the Promotional Period:
1. Purchase a copy of any of the participating publications listed below or access the digital version of an edition on the participating websites (accessible with a digital subscription).
2. Locate the secret codeword inside the edition.
3. Visit the website and locate the landing page with entry form embedded
OR click on a promotional banner advertisement linking to the landing page,
OR scan the QR code in print advertising,
4. Complete the entry form with the daily codeword and all requested details including, but not limited to full name, mobile phone number and email address, and submit the completed form. A new form will need to be completed for each edition with the unique codeword for that day.
Secret codewords will be in each daily edition and entrants must purchase a copy of the publication and complete the online entry form with the different code word each day of the promotional period in order to be in the running to win.
For any participating publication that does not have a printed edition Mon-Fri (Western Advocate, Central Western Daily, Daily Liberal), participants will be able to access the additional code words via the Mon-Fri digital-only version of the print editions, with a digital subscription.

For an entry to be valid, it is a condition of entry that the entrant signs up to the publicationâs âYour Morning Newsâ newsletter and the Explore Travel newsletter. They must also consent to have their contact details collected by Australian Community Media (ACM) and Helloworld Travel Limited (trading as Viva Holidays) (ABN 60 091 214 998) to be contacted with special offers and promotional materials, and for their data to be used for customer profiling.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrantâs identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
The winner will be drawn by computerised random selection on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 10am AEST by
www.randomdraws.com.au at Level 2, 11 York St, Sydney NSW 2000, with the winners notified by phone and email within 2 working days, including instructions on how to claim their prize.
The Promoter reserves the right to draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case of an invalid entry or ineligible entrant.
The winners will be notified by phone and email within 2 working days, with instructions on how to claim their prize, and all winner's details (names and state) will be published in the participating print editions and websites on Friday December 20, 2024.
If there are any unclaimed or un-awarded prizes a prize draw will be conducted on Tuesday, March 11, 2024 at the same time and place as the original draw. If a winner is drawn they will be contacted by phone and in writing within two (2) business days and will have their name published in participating publications on Friday, March 21, 2024.
The Promoterâs decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The first valid entry drawn will win $10,000 in Viva Holidays gift cards.
The next 3 valid entries drawn will receive 1 x $5000 Viva Holidays gift cards each.
The next 10 valid entries drawn will win 1x $1000 Viva Holidays gift cards each.
Viva Holidays gift cards conditions of use:
These terms apply to all gift cards and electronic vouchers issued by or on behalf of Helloworld Travel Limited (âHLOâ) trading as âViva Holidaysâ or âUltimate Journeys by Viva Holidaysâ (each a âGift Cardâ). By purchasing, redeeming or attempting to redeem a Gift Card, you agree to the following terms.
Gift Cards are redeemable at any Helloworld Travel Limited agent located within Australia for any Viva Holidays, Ultimate Journeys by Viva Holidays or Cruiseco products. It does not include on-line travel agents such as Expedia or Webjet.
Unless otherwise stated on the Gift Card, Gift Cards are valid for use within 3 years from the date of issue.
Gift Cards will be issued with a PIN number. In order for a Gift Card to be redeemed, the customer must provide the associated unique PIN number at time of redemption. If a PIN number cannot be provided, the Gift Card will not be able to be redeemed.
Gift Cards may only be applied up to the maximum value loaded onto the Gift Card which is unspent at the time of use. Where the cost of purchase exceeds the available balance of the Gift Card, the excess amount must be paid by another payment method.
Subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Gift Cards are non-refundable.
Gift Cards may be redeemed in whole or part during the validity period. Where used in part, no change will be given. Any unused balance may be used against future purchases but will not be refunded or credited when the Gift Card expires.
Gift Cards cannot be reloaded.
Gift Cards may not be redeemed or exchanged for flights, cash, other gift cards, traveller's cheques, cash passports or any other form of currency.
Gift Cards may not, without the prior written consent of Helloworld Travel Limited, be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via online auction or other unauthorised resale sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services. If a Gift Card is sold or used in breach of this condition, Helloworld Travel Limited may in its absolute and sole discretion cancel or render invalid the Gift Card without a refund and the Gift Card holder may be refused redemption of the Gift Card. Helloworld Travel Limited will take all reasonable steps to notify you of Helloworld Travel Limited's intention to cancel or render invalid a Gift Card within a reasonable time before cancelling or rendering invalid the Gift Card.
Helloworld Travel Limited may cancel or render invalid any Gift Card (including any available balance) which Helloworld Travel Limited determines in its absolute and sole discretion was purchased at any time and in any way (including via online auction or other unauthorised resale sites) by fraudulent means. Helloworld Travel Limited may cancel any bookings made using any fraudulent Gift Card which may include any non-refundable amounts. Helloworld Travel Limited will not be responsible for any costs incurred by you if you purchase or attempt to redeem any fraudulent Gift Card. You acknowledge and agree that you will not be entitled to redeem any available balance on any fraudulent Gift Card and that Helloworld Travel Limited will not be obliged to hold such balance on file for you or otherwise redeem or exchange that Gift Card.
You are responsible for the use and security of your Gift Card and PIN number. Lost or stolen Gift Cards may not be replaced or refunded. Lost or stolen PIN numbers cannot be reissued or replaced. You are liable for all transactions on your Gift Card except those caused by fraud or negligence by Helloworld Travel Limited or its employees.
Defaced, mutilated or altered Gift Cards may not be accepted, replaced or refunded.
Gift Cards may not be used for payment of credit or retailer accounts.
Personal information collected in relation to your Gift Card will be handled in accordance with Helloworld Travel Limited's Privacy Policy which is available at policies.helloworldlimited.com.au/privacy-policy
The laws of Victoria, Australia apply to these terms and conditions and any disputes arising in relation to them.

giftcards@vivaholidays.com.auIf for any reason the winner does not take the prize (or an element of the prize) at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.
If the prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to the directions of any regulatory authority.
Total prize pool value is up to $35,000. Prize, or any unused portion, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.
Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate, subject to the directions of any regulatory authority.
Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrantâs responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (âNon-Excludable Guaranteesâ). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoterâs control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of the prize.
The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. The Promoter will otherwise collect, hold, use and disclose PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at
