Located at Elder Park, the 2025 Macca’s Footy Festival will feature the popular 150m long zipline over The River Torrens as part of the AFL’s Gather Round festivities.
One of the most popular activities at last year’s AFL Gather Round Footy Festival is back – the River Torrens zipline! Play & Go has a family pass to give away for the experience on Saturday 12 April at 11:40am.
The zipline across the River Torrens will take you from the Macca’s Footy Festival at Elder Park, over the River Torrens and finishing on the foot bridge across from Adelaide Oval.
Participants will be required to walk back over the footbridge to return to the start point and collect their belongings (5-10 minutes walk). If you know someone who is not participating in the activity, it is recommended that they take your belongings and meet you at the landing platform. That way, you can go straight to Adelaide Oval and watch the game!

The Macca’s Footy Festival Zipline can only accommodate flyers from 30kg-120kg and participants may be weighed to ensure they are within this range.
Participants must be in good health and not pregnant. See prohibited medical conditions here.
Waivers for under-18s will need to be completed by a parent or guardian who is present for the zipline experience.
Any flyers under 16 will need to have a participating adult accompanying them on the experience or two supervising adults (one to accompany them to the take-off platform, and one waiting for them at the landing platform).
The zipline will be a single harness, and therefore they can’t harness participants under the minimum weight to someone heavier (i.e. a child cannot be harnessed together with an adult).
Participants must demonstrate a clear understanding of the safety instructions, tie back long hair if instructed to and follow all instructions from staff and instructors.
