HOYTS Rewards Members will earn 1 Qantas Point per A$2 spent on eligible purchases up to a maximum of 400 points per transaction (excluding any bonus Qantas Points earnt). HOYTS Rewards VIP members will earn 2 Qantas Points per A$1 spent on eligible purchases up to a maximum of 800 points per transaction (excluding any bonus Qantas Points earnt). Eligible purchases exclude complimentary tickets, tickets redeemed via HOYTS Points, gift cards, vouchers, HOYTS Rewards annual program membership fees, HOYTS Corporate sales, bookings and events, and any other bulk sales through HOYTS Corporate and Community Sales teams. Qantas Points will be credited to a member’s Qantas Frequent Flyer account up to 45 days after purchase.

1. The Promotion
Entry into the ‘Win a share of 1 Million Qantas Points*’ promotion (Promotion) is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Headings in this document are included for ease of reference, and do not affect interpretation in any way.
All references to time in this document are a reference to the local time in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on the date stated. The promotion commences on 12:01am AEST 13/08/2025 and closes on 11:59pm AEST 17/09/2025 (Promotion Period).
The Promotion is a game of chance.
2. Promoter’s Details
The Promoter is The HOYTS Corporation Pty Ltd of 680 George St Sydney, NSW, 2000 (Promoter) (ABN 31 006 082 551). The Promotion is authorised under NSW Authority No. TP/04109, ACT Permit No. 25/01799, SA Licence No. T25/1309.
3. Entry into the promotion is open only to Australian residents 18 years of age or older who are HOYTS Rewards members and have linked their Qantas Frequent Flyer account to their HOYTS Rewards account, excluding directors, management, employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate and registered travel companions of employees of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of each entry. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any person for tampering with the entry process or who otherwise does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
4. Entry into the promotion
To enter:
Eligible Entrants that have already linked their HOYTS Rewards and Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts will automatically receive one entry into the competition when they see a movie at HOYTS between 13/08/2025 and 17/09/2025.
Eligible Entrants will automatically receive an entry into the competition when they successfully add their Qantas Frequent Flyer number to their HOYTS Rewards account and purchase a movie ticket within the promotion period.
One entry per transaction, regardless of number of tickets purchased. Entrants can enter as many times as they like during the promotion period.
The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late or misdirected entries.
5. The Prize
The Promoter is offering Entrants the chance to win a share of 1 Million Qantas Points*. 10 prizes of one hundred thousand (100,000) Qantas Points are available.
The maximum notional value of the prize is $5,412.50 with a total prize pool of $54,125.
Each winner will receive one hundred thousand (100,000) Qantas Points. Notional value is based on a sample of Qantas Frequent Flyer rewards and is provided for information only — actual value will vary depending on redemption choices. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and allocation.
The redemption of each Prize (100,000 Qantas Points) is subject to the availability of Rewards that may be obtained through the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.
6. Drawing of entries
The competition draw will take place at The HOYTS Corporation Pty Ltd, 680 George St Sydney, NSW, 2000 on 23/09/2025 at 11am AEDT. The draw will be conducted by The HOYTS Corporation Pty Ltd (Drawer).
The result of the draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
In the event of malpractice, the promoter will redraw the prize. The second-chance draw will be conducted at 11am on 13/10/2025 at the HOYTS Sydney Head Office (Level 50, 680 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000).
7. Notification of the winner
The winners will be notified by email within two (2) business days of the draw and their details (last name, first initial and postcode) will be published on
https://www.hoyts.com.au from 26/09/2025 for a period of 28 days.
In the event of a second-chance draw, the winners' details will be published on
https://www.hoyts.com.au from 17/10/2025 for a period of 28 days.
8. Prize Details
Following the relevant winner’s announcement, the prize will be credited to the Prize Winner’s Qantas Frequent Flyer account within 45 days of the prize draw.
The Promoter is not responsible thereafter for the manner in which the Qantas Points are credited or any characteristics of those points. Qantas Points awarded must be redeemed in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.
The redemption of each prize is subject to the availability of Rewards through the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.
If a Prize is redeemed for reward travel, winners should be aware reward seat availability is limited and dependent on flight, date, season and destination. Winners are responsible for taxes, fees and carrier charges for reward travel or accommodation booked by redeeming their prize. Reward flights must be booked at least 24 hours before scheduled departure (and other advance booking requirements may apply). Compliance with immigration, health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the winner.
9. Other Matters Relating to the Promotion
If a Prize or receipt of it incurs a tax liability, the Prize Winner is liable for payment of such tax.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Subject to State legislation and (if required) relevant gaming authorities' approval, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize in whole (or any component) with a substitute prize of equal or greater value and the Prize Winner will be notified accordingly.
10. Privacy
By entering this Promotion, each Entrant is taken to consent to the Promoter using the Entrant’s personal information to administer the Promotion and disclosing the Entrant’s personal information to organisations that assist the Promoter to administer the Promotion or to third parties as required by law. If the information requested is not provided by the Entrant, the Entrant may not participate in the Promotion. 11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies the statutory consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law. Except for liability that cannot by law be excluded, the Promoter and its related bodies corporate (including their officers, employees and agents) exclude all:
liability for direct losses arising out of technical difficulties, equipment malfunction, delayed email, errors, omissions, interruptions, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or any website; theft, destruction, unauthorised access or third party interference of entries; late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected entry or prize claims; any tax liability incurred by a Prize Winner or Entrant; or use of a Prize; and
liability for indirect or consequential losses arising in any way out of the Promotion.
12. Variations
Subject to approval of relevant gaming authorities, the Promoter reserves the right at its sole discretion to modify, suspend or terminate all or part of the Promotion, or disqualify and prohibit further participation, in the event any portion of the Promotion is compromised by viruses, bugs, unauthorised intervention, hackers or other causes beyond reasonable control which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Promotion.
The Promoter reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time in its sole discretion for administrative reasons or to ensure efficient operation of the Promotion. Changes will be posted on the Promoter’s website at

13. General
Failure by the Promoter to enforce any one of these Terms and Conditions in any instance will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Entrant or Prize Winner or other person.
The laws of the State where an Entrant is based apply to this Promotion.
14. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
Eligible Entrant is defined in clause 3;
Entrant is as defined in clause 4;
Prize means the prize defined in clause 5(a);
Prize Winner means the winner of a Prize as defined in clause 6(a).
