Terms and Conditions:
1. Information on how to enter the 2026 Vodafone – 5 Seconds of Summer Competition (Competition) and the available prizes forms part of these terms and conditions of entry (Terms and Conditions). Submission of an entry is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. The promoter is Vodafone Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 056 161 043) of Level 27, Tower Two, International Towers Sydney, 200 Barangaroo Avenue, Barangaroo NSW 2000 (Promoter).
3. By entering this Competition by making an Entry Submission in accordance with clause 7 below, each Entrant (as defined in clause 4) acknowledges and agrees that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
Eligibility
4. Entry is open to residents of Australia who are Vodafone customers (Eligible Entrants or Entrants). Entrants below the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian.
5. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, participating retailers or any of their associated agencies or companies are ineligible to enter.
Competition Period
6. The Competition commences at 1:00PM (AEDT) on Tuesday, 27 January 2026 and concludes at 11:59PM (AEDT) on Tuesday, 17 February 2026 (Competition Period).
How to enter
7. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, during the Competition Period:
a. be a Vodafone customer and remain a customer on the date the winners are notified;
b. follow Vodafone’s Instagram or TikTok accounts – @VodafoneAU;
c. like the Instagram or TikTok post announcing the Competition (Competition Post); d. tag a friend on the Competition Post; and
e. answer the following question in the comment section of the Competition Post: “In 25 words or less, tell us what 5 Seconds of Summer song best describes your summer and why.” (Entry Submission or Entry).
8. Entry into the Competition will occur automatically upon making an Entry Submission.
9. There is no limit to the number of Entries an Eligible Entrant may make.
10. Entries will only be considered if they are made within the Competition Period.
11. Eligible Entrants’ Entries will be deemed invalid if they cease to be Vodafone customers before the date the winners are notified.
12. An Entry is deemed to be received at the time of its receipt by the Promotor and not at the time of transmission.
13. Any costs associated with entering the Competition are the Entrant’s responsibility.
14. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of Entries and to disqualify any Entrant who the Promoter believes has either tampered with the Entry process or has made an Entry Submission other than in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
15. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
16. Incomplete Entries will be deemed invalid. Any incorrect details submitted may render the corresponding Entry invalid.
17. All Entries are the property of the Promoter. No responsibility is accepted for Entries not received by the Promoter. Entries will be deemed invalid if stolen, forged, mutilated or tampered with in any way.
18. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Entrant, the Entrant will be deemed to be the owner of the Instagram and/or TikTok account through which the Entry Submission was made.
Selection of Winners and Prize
19. There will be 15 winners in the Competition in total (Winners).
20. The Winners will be selected by the Promotor based on the originality, creativity and humour shown in the Entry Submission. The judging and selection of the Winner based on these criteria is entirely at the Promoter’s discretion. This is a game of skill.
21. The 15 Winners will receive a double pass to one of the following 5 Seconds of Summer: ‘Everyone’s a Star Tour’ shows in Australia of their choice, valued at $383.80. incl GST per double pass (Prize):
a. the show at Riverstage, Brisbane, QLD on Wednesday 28 October 2026 at 7:000PM;
b. the show at Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney, NSW on Friday 30 October 2026 at
7:00PM.
c. The show at Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne, VIC on Monday 2 November at 7:00PM
d. The show at Kings Park, Perth, WA on Friday 6 November at 7:00PM
(each of the above shows, a 5 Seconds of Summer Show).
22. Total number of Prizes = 15. Total Prize value = $5,757 incl GST.
23. Attendance of a 5 Seconds of Summer Show using the Prize is subject to the terms and conditions of Live Nation and the relevant venues involved. The Promoter
accepts no responsibility for the Winners’ compliance with those terms and conditions.
24. The Prize is exclusive of all costs associated or otherwise incurred in the Winners’ attendance at a 5 Seconds of Summer Show such as flights, accommodation, and other travel expenses to and from the venue.
25. A Winner must make their own arrangements (e.g., booking flights and accommodation) to a venue of a 5 Seconds of Summer Show, and the Promoter will not reimburse such expenses or make any arrangements for the Winner to attend the event. It is the Winner’s sole responsibility to make those arrangements.
26. If a Winner cannot attend or make their own arrangements, the Winner will forfeit the Prize.
27. Prizes are not to be resold, or transferred to a third party, nor are they exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. All prize values are the recommended retail price and are correct at the time of printing.
28. If the Promoter is unable to supply the nominated Prize, or part of any nominated Prize, the Promoter reserves the right, subject to the written directions of any competent authority, to supply another prize of greater or equal value.
29. All additional costs not expressly stated, but which may be incurred in acceptance and use of the Prize, are the sole responsibility of the Winner
Notification of Winners
30. The Promoter will notify the Winners from 12:00PM (AEDT) on Thursday,19 February 2026 by replying to the winning comment on Instagram or TikTok and directing the Winner to send a direct message (DM) to the Promoter’s official account on the same platform. The Winner must respond by sending a DM using the Instagram or TikTok account they used to make the Entry Submission, which will announce them as a Winner. The Winners will be requested by Vodafone’s Social Care team to complete a secure form with their name, mobile number, and date of birth to verify that they are a Vodafone customer. Once customer details are verified, Vodafone’s Social Care team will confirm and pass the details to the Vodafone’s Sponsorship team who will then contact the Winner to confirm their Prize and their 5 Seconds of Summer show of choice. Vodafone will not request payment details to claim the Prize.
31. The Promotor will take all reasonable steps to notify each Winner.
32. The Prize must be claimed by each Winner by 5:00PM (AEDT) on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
33. If for any reason whatsoever a Winner does not claim their Prize by 5:00PM (AEDT) on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, then the Prize will be forfeited by the Winner and neither cash nor any other prize will be awarded in lieu of that Prize.
General
34. Eligible Entrants can only enter in their own name.
35. The Promoter reserves the right to request the Eligible Entrant to produce appropriate photo identification or other documentation (to the Promoter’s satisfaction, at its sole discretion) in order to confirm the Eligible Entrant’s eligibility to enter and claim a Prize, before issuing a Prize.
36. Entrants agree that it is a condition of winning the Prize that they will, at the Promoter’s request, participate in any reasonable promotional activity (such as an interview) surrounding this Competition or the winning of any Prize. Entrants agree this participation will be free of charge. Entrants consent to the Promoter and their associated agencies’ using their name and image for reasonable promotional purposes in any media in perpetuity without further compensation to the Entrant.
37. If for any reason whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Competition is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated, the Promoter reserves the right, in its discretion, unless to do so would be prohibited by law, to (a) disqualify any Entrant; and/or (b) to cancel, suspend, modify, terminate or cancel the Competition, subject to State or Territory regulation.
38. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for, and the Eligible Entrant releases the Promoter from responsibility for, any failure to receive an Entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, claim, damage or injury to person or property (including computer systems and servers) as a result of the Eligible Entrant’s participation in the Competition or the conduct of the Competition generally or as a direct or indirect result of an Entrant’s error, any technical problem of any kind including communications or network failure, unauthorised access to, transferring or theft of data, whether caused by the Eligible Entrant or associated with the equipment or programming used in the conduct of this Competition. If, because of any such problem, this Competition is not able to be conducted as planned and/or the Competition’s administration, security, fairness or integrity are compromised or affected, the Promoter may (where necessary with the approval of the relevant department) cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition and/or disqualify any Entrant involved in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this Competition in any way.
39. These Terms and Conditions do not, nor do they intend to, limit, exclude or modify any non-excludable statutory guarantee under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other warranties (whether express or implied) or terms under any state or federal legislation which cannot be excluded.
40. Subject to clause 39 and to the maximum extent permitted under law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability whether arising in tort (including, without limitation, negligence), contract or otherwise for any personal injury or any other loss or damage (including without limitation loss of opportunity or loss or profits) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition, including, without limitation, the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any Entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in Prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax implications; and/or (f) a Prize or use of a Prize. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects the statutory rights of any person under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.
41. This Competition is in not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, TikTok, Live Nation or Instagram. The Entrant releases Facebook, TikTok, Live Nation or Instagram from all liability in relation to the Competition.
