Fcukers is the Brooklyn duo of vocalist Shanny Wise and Jackson Walker Lewis. Ö heralds their anticipated debut release on Ninja Tune, produced by Kenneth Blume aka Kenny Beats building his name with artists like Freddie Gibbs, JPGMAFIA, Denzel Curry, IDLES and most recently Geese.

Ö polishes the gritty edge of their previous singles into an 11 track EDM tasting plate. Morsels of dubstep, uk garage and trip hop, blend traces of Y2K era Neptunes and Ministry Chillout. Eclectic electronic heroes ala Basement Jaxx linger in the smoke of this record without dwelling long enough to make an intentional statement. And the intent is nonchalance.

In these doom scroll, numbcore times - war crimes served up daily in our feed, is it such a tall order to just want a bit of uncomplicated fun? Shanny Wise drums ice cool cadence like dance floor nursery rhymes - soothing, dissociated and catchy as hell. But nonchalance aside, it takes a lot of effort to seem effortless and the result forms a well considered, contemporary pop whole.
