Great to see the excellent Bramwell finally making its way on to DVD with the arrival this month of the complete first series. It's released by Time Life and we have five coppies for you to get your hands on!
Jemma Redgrave headlines as Eleanor Bramwell, a female doctor who in Victorian times is determined to improve the medical conditions of the poorer sections of society even if it means running up against the men who rule the roost in the world of 19th century medicine.
A really good strong series if at times a little gruesome (thanks to some authentic looking surgical procedures!) Bramwell also features a strong role for the excellent David Calder as Eleanor's father Robert.
