AN ENGLISHMAN IN NEW YORK DVD GIVEAWAY

Beyond Home Entertainment / Region 4 / Released August 2010

The truly fabulous John Hurt returns to the role that made his name in the long awaited An Englishman in New York, it's released this month on DVD and we have three copies to give away!

Picking up from where The Naked Civil Servant left off Hurt once again plays homosexual Quentin Crisp who, after the acclaim he gets for telling his life story, decides that his real artistic future lies in New York where he is at first feted and loved but finds that by the AIDs ravaged 1980's his star is waning, not least thanks to some ill judged remarks about the disease that almost left him down at rock bottom again. As time goes by though Crisp finds himself once again in favour.

With a stand out performance from Hurt, An Englishman in New York is mesmerising stuff, made all the more poignant because of its true story origins.

Our competition runs until September 15, 2010. To be in with a chance to win one of the dvds all you have to do is tell us who wrote the song that gives this drama its title? Also don't forget about our rather splendid daily newsletter. If you haven't signed up for this yet then what are you waiting for, a daily hit of all the latest stories, comps, reviews, features and news happening in the world of Memorable TV.

Entries must be sent to competition@memorabletv.com and must be titled "An Englishman in New York". Good Luck!
