Win a double pass to Cirque Mother Africa

Having thrilled millions, Cirque Mother Africa is coming to Melbourne as part of its 2010 Australasian tour.

A spectacular celebration created in Africa, the show features forty artists from all over the African continent – Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Benin, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Guinea, South Africa – performing in intoxicating colours, and extraordinary costumes and masks.

Mother Africa creator and director Winston Ruddle, himself African and a former acrobat and breakdancer, has been training acrobats and dancers for more than 15 years. His first show, Mama Africa, toured to sell-out crowds, playing to more than 300,000 people.

The show’s Australian producer, Mark Rafter, says he first saw Mother Africa in Germany and loved it. “It’s a Cirque du Soleil with a twist from the heart of Africa.”

The show will be in Melbourne at The Palms at Crown from October 12-24. Bookings: ticktek.com.
