An email on a Saturday Grand Final afternoon saying CONGRATULATIONS?
Surely a hoax. Who works Saturdays in advertising/promotions agencies?
Well, Nicole does apparently, because she emailed then rang to say
I'D WON THE TRIP TO SEE JACK JOHNSON AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL!!
Next Friday!  So I'm off in five days apparently and had to agonise over which kid to take - and decided neither! DS has just come out of hospital and DD the nurse will mind him... and I've had to agonise over whether to leave a 20yo to care for his own health. (Justified that one too! Luckily we have friends and family able to watch over him.) So my nephew is coming instead. Have you ever heard the sound of a 24yo wetting himself over the phone?! wow congratulations have a great time ,there,s probably not enough time before you leave but if possible I
would add some extra days because accomodation over there is not expensive and your airfare is paid
theres so much to see

Hilarious Then found http://compingclub.com/index.php?topic=162411.0 which closes at the end of the month to win tickets to see him in Australia, you'd better enter that before you go. |

Thanks everyone! I'm more freaking out about the 20yo son now on heart tablets, but I've organised friends to mind him and he wants me to go. Nephew is in shock though...  He can afford to extend by only 2 days though, so it's going to have to be a flying trip to LA alone which simplifies packing and planning. And yes, that was DD who won a Tokyo trip through her Telstra job, so a ripper year in the Marigold patch! (Well, apart from the dicky heart!...) |

TERRIFIC prize! Go for it! Avagood time! Can you remember your wol? Cheers! I can remember it because I kept a copy - the only way I know I did enter it, even though I can't find the post. I'm not going to give up 100% of a winning entry  but the bones of it were:
25wol How you are reducing your carbon footprint?J-uicy fruit trees, vegies.... A-lways walking eliminates driving.... C-otton? Organic.... K-nocking my carbon..... I had rhymes at the ends and didn't think they worked particularly well. You just CAN'T ever tell what will win! |
