I have just pulled out my receipt from my banana purchase on Saturday and have realised I only bought 1.942 kgs of bananas!!! OMG!!! Do you think I should still enter the comp? It does say several times in terms and conditions that 2 kgs of bananas must bought! I can't believe it!!

Marfs, I have done that many times before...it is so annoying.  I wouldn't enter because the t & c'd are clear. We have heard of people being disqualified before on here for that reason. And if you want to enter again with the correct 2kg purchase they will ask for all of your receipts. In my opinion it's not worth it. Try again...even though 2kg is a lot of banana's!!! and good luck!

Thanks bindieye, I will hold off entering on this receipt. There would be nothing worse than temporarily winning a prize, especially a holiday prize and then having it taken away! I think I might make some banana muffins this afternoon, need to find extra ways to use up bananas! Thanks for posting.

Or...if you did win, let them know the scales in the fruit and veg section showed 2KG!! There is often a little bit of difference between those ones and the actual checkout ones used.

Maybe next time buy 2.1kg?
Theres no way the scales would be out by 100g.

I just about had a spak attack at the register today - I'd weighed my bananas at the fruit & veg dept & it was about 2.4kgs but when I went through the checkout the girl just put half on the scales to ring them up I said WAIT NO I NEED THEM ALL WEIGHED TOGETHER - I'm sure she thought I was daft but I wonder if it would still have counted as over 2kg if i'd won & the receipt showed two lots under 2kg !

lol ramble away shopperdeb24, I once bought 2 bottles of Ocean Spray for a comp, got to the checkout and they overcharged me.... so they gave me one bottle for free!.... sigh, couldn't enter then and cranberry juice doesn't go very fast in our house to justify buying 2 more lol.  I suppose my win was that I got 2 bottles for the price of one  .
