Bringing on board a group of young trainee archaeologists Dr Hawass (a fabulous larger than life character who enjoys nothing more than berating his young interns whilst explaining how great he is!) is over seeing work at the legendary Step Pyramid and also finds time to go in search of Cleopatra's tomb; attend the Festival of the Sacrifice and visit The Valley of the Kings.
Chasing Mummies certainly doesn't take itself too seriously and is actually enormous fun. Hawass is surely a TV legend in the making!
