Terms and Conditions
1. Instructions on how to enter, prize details and other information contained within the promotional advertisements form part of these terms and conditions.
2. Subject to clause 3, 19 + 20 on the terms and conditions we’ve set out entry is open to all residents over the age of 18 of Australia except any person who does not give complete or correct registration or other details requested by The West Australian upon the entering of, or during the course of, the Competition.
3. The promotion commences on Thursday, January 6, 2011 and closes 12 midnight on Monday, January 17, 2011. Only entries received by this date will be valid and all entries MUST be submitted via
http://www.thewest.com.au/competitions. Entrants must fill in all their details, include code word published inside The Wire in The West Australian on Thursday January 6 + 13, 2011, read and agree to the terms and conditions and click ‘Submit’ to enter.
4. You can enter the competition up to three times. Printed entries and facsimiles are not valid.
5. All prize winners will be drawn at 10am on Thursday, January 20 and the winners will be notified by telephone and/or email by a representative of The West Australian.
6. The Competition will be conducted (and winners determined) at the absolute discretion of The West Australian. The West Australian’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. If the winners cannot be contacted on the phone number and email address provided within five (5) working days, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be drawn.
8. The first valid entry drawn will be deemed the winner and will receive the following prize. Total Prize Package value is approximately $900.

10. The prize must be taken as supplied and cannot be transferred, modified or exchanged for cash in part or in total. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize.
11. It will be the winner’s responsibility to redeem the prize from the promoter.
12. All contestants release from, and indemnify The West Australian, Perth International Arts Festival and Beck’s Music Box, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any of the prizes or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
13. West Australian Newspapers Limited, Perth International Arts Festival and associated agencies accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, death or injury resulting from the promotion.
14. It is a condition of entry that the prize winner and companion agree to have their names and suburbs published for publicity purposes if required.
15. Employees of the promoter and associated agencies and their subsidiaries and immediate families are ineligible to enter.
16. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR THE INFORMATION ON A WEBSITE, OR TO OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS COMPETITION, MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, WHETHER SUCCESSFUL OR NOT, THE PROMOTER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TAKE WHATEVER ACTION IT CONSIDERS NECESSARY AGAINST ANY PERSON WHO IS PARTY TO THE SAID CONDUCT AND WILL DISQUALIFY SUCH PERSONS FROM THIS AND ALL FUTURE COMPETITIONS.
17. Any person, who is found to have given incorrect information when entering a Competition, or any previous Competition, is immediately disqualified from entering any further Competitions. If a person is discovered to have given incorrect information in relation to this or any other competition that is still running (or a winner has yet to be decided or found), such person will be immediately disqualified and/or removed from that Competition.
18. Completed entries which have ticked the box titled “I would like to receive further information from Perth International Arts Festival” and “I would like to receive the following newsletters from thewest.com.au” will have their information collected for the purpose of promotion and marketing and agree to be contacted and receive marketing and promotional materials from Perth International Arts Festival and The West Australian. ALL entries will be kept by The West Australian for twelve months. This is a mandatory requirement of the Gaming and Wagering Act WA.

19. Entry into this competition signifies acceptance of all conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to limit entry or amend rules if considered necessary without notice, subject to required approval from the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor.
