The Maj Monologues Competition is back and proudly supported by Australia Post – sponsor of The Brainbox Project at His Majesty’s Theatre.
We are looking for Perth’s most versatile writers and we’d like you to be as creative, entertaining, funny or dramatic as you like with your interpretation of the theme: Treachery & Lechery in the 21st Century.

We want you to write a monologue with an expected performance duration of between 8 and 15 minutes.  The judges will be seeking four dramatic and four comedic monologues based on this theme.   So…are you up for the challenge?

This year’s competition closes on 5pm, Friday 4 February 2011.

If your entry is selected by the judging panel as one of the eight finalists, your monologue will be performed live as part of the 2011 finals season DownStairs at the Maj in March and directed by Michael McCall.
