WOODBOURN MURRAY GREY YOUTH AMBASSADOR AWARDS

The National Woodbourn MGY Ambassador Awards are a must for all keen young beef cattle enthusiasts who wish to build upon their knowledge and skills within the beef industry, as well as having the desire to further advance their personal and professional development.
We believe that the National Woodbourn MGY Ambassador Awards allows for the education and encouragement of our youth, providing an opportunity for youth to become active and enthusiastic participants within the beef industry.
Throughout the duration of the National Woodbourn MGY Ambassador Awards competition, participants will be placed in various situations which require each individual to perform and carry out various tasks to the best of their ability. During this time participants are judged on their willingness to participate and get involved, as well as their ability to show initiative and good overall personal character.
Competitors in the National Woddbourn MGY Ambassador Awards competition will participate in activities which will include public speaking, attending an interview, visit related industries on a field trip and listen to guest speaker’s talk on industry specific subjects. In addition, participants will also be involved in various tasks throughout the event in relation to the show and sale.
With more than $5,000 worth of prizes up for grabs, some of the prizes include:
-A beef study tour anywhere in Australia
-Become the Woodbourn MGY ambassador
-Win $1000 towards a heifer
-Win a trip to the SA Junior Heifer Expo or to the Dubbo National All Breeds Show
-Win a cattle assessment school entry
-Become the associate judge at the NS&S 2012
More than $5000 of cash and prizes up for grabs
The 2011 Woodbourn Murray Grey Youth Ambassador competition will be held over the duration of the 5th, 6th and 7th of April in conjunction with the Murray Grey National Show and Sale.
