Directed by Rajkumar, No One Killed Jessica is based on the true story of one woman's struggle to get justice for her murdered sister. In 1999, Delhi model Jessica Lall was shot dead in front of witnesses at a high society party by Manu Sharma, the son of a powerful politician. In an extraordinary decision that dumbfounded Indians, raising questions of the extent of corruption in play, Manu Sharma was declared innocent. However, under relentless pressure by Jessica's sister and a few committed members of the press, the case was taken to the Delhi High Court where Manu Sharma was found guilty of murder.
Contributing to the film's powerful tone is the soundtrack composed by the award-winning Amit Trivedi who mixes more upbeat tracks with moody and emotional numbers. He makes terrific use of the many singers at his disposal including Tochi Raina, Biswajit Chakraborthy, Shriram Iyer and Raja Hassan.
