The entrant’s pet will only be an Eligible Pet if judged overweight by the vet at the participating vet clinic. The Eligible Pet must remain on and closely follow the Hill’s Prescription Diet to be eligible to win this competition. The vet at the participating vet clinic will then verify the starting weight on the Progress tracker online or with a clinic stamp (or similar, as appropriate for the clinic) for hard-copy Progress trackers. Entrants must also take (and provide to the Promoter, as outlined below) a current photo of their Eligible Pet within one (1) week of commencing the Hill’s Prescription Diet.
5. To verify the weight loss of the Eligible Pet in the specified time period, entrants must visit the participating vet clinic once the goal weight is achieved, before the end of the Entry Period. 6. Damaged, illegible, incomprehensible, invalid or previous years Progress trackers or incomplete entries will be disqualified.
7. The “Before” photos should be as recent as possible and “after” photos should be taken when the pet has reached the target weight.
8. The competition commences at 09.00 AEDST on 01/1/2011 and closes at 23.59 AEDST on 10/11/2011 (“Entry Period”).

There is a strict limit of one entry per Eligible Pet.
10. This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners. All entries will be judged individually on their merits based on the total percentage weight loss of the Eligible Pet, how closely the Hill’s Prescription Diet was followed, medical history of the Eligible Pet and other relevant medical criteria (including the overall health improvements of the Eligible Pet due to the Hill’s Prescription Diet regiment). The best candidate, as selected by the judges, will be judged the “Hill’s PetFit Slimmer of the Year for 2011. The Judges’ decision and interpretation of the rules is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. The judges may select additional reserve entries which they determine to be the next best, and record them in order, in case of an invalid entry or ineligible entrant.
12. Judging will take place at 11.00 AEDST on 20/112011 at 68-72 Waterloo Rd, North Ryde NSW 2113. .
13. The prize consists of one year’s supply of Hill’s Pet Food for the winner (to a maximum RRP value of AU$1,500) and a AU$2,000 Flight Centre Gift Card. The amount of Pet Food awarded will vary depending on the weight of the Eligible Pet and the type of Hill’s Pet Food that is appropriate for the Eligible Pet. The one year supply of Hill’s Pet food must be redeemed at the winner’s local veterinary practice. Flight Centre Gift Card must be redeemed within 6 months of the announcement of the winner and is subject to normal booking availability. All other ancillary costs including but not limited to travel insurance, taxes, meals, drinks, transfers and any and all other expenses are the responsibility of the winner.
14. The participating clinic that supported (and determined the Hill’s Prescription Diet for) the Eligible Pet selected as the winner during the Entry Period will receive a clinic prize. The clinic prize is a AU$2,000 “Business Development Grant” awarded in the form of a cheque, which will be awarded to the owner of the clinic to be used towards the veterinary clinic’s business. All taxes (excluding GST) which may be payable as a consequence of receiving a prize are the sole responsibility of the winning clinic.
15. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and are not redeemable for cash. The judges’ decision is final and binding - no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incorrect/outdated or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.
16. If for any reason a winner does not take the prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited.
17. In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.

4. Prizes will be awarded on the basis of Eligible Pets reaching the half-way weight loss goal and full weight loss goal, as pre-determined by the vet at the participating clinic and by following the Hill’s Pet Fit 2011 program, during the specified time period. Prizes are strictly limited, as follows:
1. to the first fifty (50) valid Eligible Pets who reach the half-way weight loss goal in Australia (as verified by the vet at the participating clinic on the promotional website);
2. to the first fifty (50) valid Eligible Pets who reach the half-way weight loss goal in New Zealand (as verified by the vet at the participating clinic on the promotional website);
3. to the first (50) Eligible Pets who reach the full weight loss goal in Australia (as verified by the vet at the participating clinic on the promotional website); and
4. to the first (50) Eligible Pets who reach the full weight loss goal in New Zealand (as verified by the vet at the participating clinic on the promotional website).

To be eligible to win a half-way weight loss prize, the Eligible Pet must be one of the first fifty (50) Eligible Pets in their country of residence (i.e. Australia or New Zealand) to reach the pre-determined half-way weight loss goal by 23.59 AEST/NZST (as applicable) on 30/08/2011. The vet from the participating vet clinic will then validate the Progress tracker online, including providing what half-way prize (of the prizes available) the entrant (as specified by the entrant to the vet) prefers, before 23.59 AEST/NZST (as applicable) on 30/08/2011.

To be eligible to win the full way weight loss prize, the Eligible Pet must be one of the first fifty (50) Eligible Pets in their country of residence (i.e. Australia or New Zealand) to reach the pre-determined full weight loss goal weight by 23.59 AEDST/NZDST (as applicable) on 10/11/2011. The entrant is required to visit the vet clinic with the Eligible Pet before 23.59 AEDST/NZDST (as applicable) (during the participating clinic’s business hours) on 10/11/2011 to verify the Eligible Pet reaching the full weight loss goal to be eligible to win a prize. The vet from the participating vet clinic will then validate the Progress tracker online, including providing what full weight loss prize (of the prizes available) the entrant (as specified by the entrant to the vet) prefers before 23.59 AEDST/NZDST (as applicable) on 10/11/2011.
