Terms & Conditions of Entry – Game of Skill

The Win a Cleaner for a Year Promotion (the "Promotion") is a promotion conducted by Woolworths Limited.

1. Information on how to enter the Promotion and a description of the prizes that may be won in the Promotion form part of these Terms & Conditions of Entry. Participation in the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions of Entry. Entries not complying with these Terms & Conditions of Entry are ineligible and the Promoter reserves its absolute right to disqualify any entrant from the Promotion if any entries do not comply with these Terms & Conditions of Entry.

ELIGIBILITY

2. The Promotion is open to all Australian residents over the age of 18 who fulfill the entry requirements in clause 5. Entry into the Promotion is free. Employees of Salmat Interactive Pty Ltd are not eligible to enter the competition. These Terms & Conditions of Entry will be available in Participating Outlets for the duration of the Promotional Period.

3. The Promotion commences at 06:00 AEDST on 24 January 2011 and closes midnight AEDST 22 February 2011 (“Promotional Period”). Only entries submitted during these dates and times will be eligible for entry and judging

4. Definitions:

Household Cleaning Products means two (2) or more household cleaning products including but not limited to products in the following categories: General Household Cleaning, Shoe Care, Insecticides, Household Storage, Hangers and Laundry Household (Cleaning products).
 
Entrant means a customer who makes an Eligible Purchase and completes and submits an entry form
Participating Outlet  means a Woolworths or Safeway supermarket located within Queensland, Western Australia, Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria or New South Wales
 
Promoter  The Promoter is Woolworths Ltd (ABN 88 000 014 675), 1 Woolworths Way, Bella Vista, 2153, NSW.

COMPETITION ENTRY

5. To enter the competition

i) Purchase two (2) or more Household Cleaning Products in a single transaction from a Participating Outlet (“Eligible Purchase”) during the Promotional Period from any participating Woolworths or Safeway store.

ii) Visit www.woolworths.com.au and follow the prompts to the Promotion entry page. Complete all mandatory fields on the entry form, including the purchase receipt transaction number and date fields, and tell us in 25 words or less “Why do you want to Win a Cleaner for a Year?” OR

iii) Complete an entry form, available in-store. You must complete all mandatory fields on the entry form, including the purchase receipt transaction number and date fields and tell us in 25 words or less “Why do you want to Win a Cleaner for a Year?”. Then mail the completed entry form to the following address:

6. Entrants must retain a copy of their transaction receipt as proof of the Eligible Purchase. The mandatory fields on the entry form must be completed so that the Entrant can be contacted if they are a winner of the Promotion.
Customers can enter as many times as they like, however there is a limit to one entry per receipt transaction number.

7. The Entrant retains the copyright of all works submitted as competition entries. The Entrant grants the promoter the right to unlimited use of any material submitted as an entry for the use of publication or advertising of the competition including without limitation agreeing to the publication in press, print and online or electronic media material. Entrants confirm and promise that their entry is original and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

8. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify all entries from any Entrant who is in breach of the Terms & Conditions of Entry or any Entrant who manipulates, seeks to manipulate or benefits from manipulating, the entry process or the Promotion.

9. You can enter as many times as you like during the Promotional Period provided that the transaction receipt number is not repeated on any entries. To enter multiple times the Entrant must make an Eligible Purchase for each entry they wish to submit.

10. The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late or misdirected entries.

JUDGING

11. The winners will be selected by a panel of qualified judges appointed by the Promoter. The panel of two judges will pick 10 winners in total. The judges will consider all entries. The entries will be judged from 09:00 AEDST on 28 February 2011 and will conclude when all entries have been read and considered.

12. The judging will take place at Salmat Interactive Pty Ltd, Level 1, 116 Miller Street North Sydney, NSW, 2060 which the Promoter has engaged for the purpose of running this Promotion. Should it not be possible to conduct the judging at this address, the judging may occur at another Salmat office site.

13. The Promoter reserves the right to validate the transaction receipt details provided by the Entrant when entering the Promotion.

14. The Promotion is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners. All entries will be judged individually and on their merits based on originality and creativity. The best 10 entries as determined by the judges will win a prize. The judges' decision is final and binding.

THE PRIZE

15. There are 10 prizes to be won. The maximum value of the prize pool is $21,060.00. The maximum prize value per winner is $2,132.00.

The prize comprises of a home cleaner for 2hours duration once each fortnight for a total of 26 consecutive fortnights. The prize is a ‘Regular Mini Clean’
Depending on the residential location of the winner and house size, the cost of a home cleaner for 2 hours may vary. The average notiotnal value has therefore been stated for the purpose of these Terms and Conditions of Entry. The average notional value is based on the cost of 2 hours of a ‘Regular Mini Clean’.Multiplied by 26 fortnights, the maximum prize value per winner is $2,132.00. To the extent that the cost of a home cleaner for 2 hours duration is more or less than $82.00 based on location and property size, the Promoter will pay a maximum of $82.00 per visit and may engage a home cleaner providing an equivalent service for 2 hours at a lower price in its discretion. A maximum of $2,132.00 will be paid for each winner, and in some cases, less than this amount will be paid, in order to provide the cleaning service, as specified in these Terms and Conditions of entry.

16. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable by the Promoter if the recipient is unable to use the prize as stated in these Terms and Conditions. A prize cannot be transferred to any other person or residential address location, unless agreed to by the Promoter in its discretion.

17. The cleaning services constituting the prize will be provided by United Home Services Australia (ABN 99 300 920 388) The Promoter will secure and finalise the prize for each winner within 3 weeks of the determination of each winner. The prize of the cleaning service will commence within 30 days from the date that the prize has been secured and finalised with each winner. In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

19. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from winning of the prizes. Independent financial advice should be sought.

20. The Promoter and its agencies and companies associated with this Promotion will not be liable for any loss (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), damage or personal injury which is suffered or sustained (including without limitation to that caused by any person's negligence) relating to the Promotion or the awarding or taking of the prizes by prize winners, or which is suffered of sustained as a consequence of services rendered by home cleaners in fulfillment of the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case liability is limited to the minimum amount allowable by law).

21. If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion.

22. The Promoter may use any personal information that an Entrant has provided to it for the purpose of running the Promotion, and also in advertisements, publications, media statements and other promotional material associated with the Promotion. For purposes of public statements and advertisements the Promoter will only publish each winner’s surname, initial, state and Participating Outlet location. The Promoter may disclose the information for those purposes to its related bodies corporate and contractorsand may disclose the information to its related bodies corporate, agencies and contractors (including call centres, advertising agencies and direct mail houses) the Promoter engages for that purpose. In the event there is a dispute concerning the conduct of the Promotion, the decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into by the Promoter.
