Singer, songwriter, poet and a pioneer in the environmental movement; in the mid seventies John Denver was arguably America’s most celebrated male entertainer. A brand-new Australian written and produced show brings to life the intriguing story of a treasured musical icon.

Starring renowned Australian performer Rick Price, Denver’s life story hits the stage in the John Denver Story. His career highs include his 1973 greatest hits album remaining on top of the charts for over three years and eight of his albums selling over 1 million copies each. However, Denver’s personal life however was less than successful - a far cry from the fresh faced country boy.

Who can forget Annie’s Song, Thank God I’m A Country Boy, Take Me Home Country Roads, Rocky Mountain High and Leaving On A Jet Plane. Lasting two hours and featuring 20 of John Denver’s unforgettable songs, the John Denver Story opens at Perth’s Regal Theatre on Tuesday 3 May.
