Terms and Conditions of Entry – AMF, SpongeBob Birthday Party Campaign
1. Information on how to enter form part of these Conditions of Entry for the Nickelodeon
and AMF, SpongeBob Birthday Party Competition (“the Competition”).
2. There is one method of entry for this Competition: Online
3. To enter, entrants must:
a. log onto the Nickelodeon website (
www.nickelodeon.com.au) and either:
i. Register their Nick Name and Password by providing the following
information; First name, Last name, Address, State, Postcode, Date of
birth, whether they are a girl or a boy, their email address, and some other
optional information; or
ii. If the entrant has previously registered their details they are only required
to enter their Nick Name and Password in order to enter the Competition,
subject to Clause 9.
b. Once logged on, entrants must answer in 25 words or less the question relevant
to the month of their entry, as follows:
i. Month 1: Tuesday, 15th March 2011 - Thursday, 14th April 2011 -
Question - “Who would you most like to invite to your next birthday party
and why?”
ii. Month 2: Friday, 15th April 2011 - Saturday, 14th May 2011 -
Question - “Where would you most like to have your next birthday party
and why?”
iii. Month 3: Sunday, 15th May 2011 - Tuesday, 14th June 2011 -
Question - “What type of party would you like for your next birthday party
and why?”
iv. Month 4: Wednesday, 15th June 2011 - Thursday, 14th July 2011 -
Question - “Who would you most like to invite to your next birthday party
and why?”
v. Month 5: Friday, 15th July 2011 - Sunday, 14th August 2011 -
Question - “Where would you most like to have your next birthday party
and why?”
vi. Month 6: Monday, 15th August 2011 Wednesday, 14th September 2011 -
Question - “What type of party would you like for your next birthday party
and why?”
4. Entry is open to all Australian residents. Employees and immediate families of the
Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion, including without limitation
Paramount Pictures, are ineligible to enter.
5. Entrants aged under 16 years of age should ask their parent or guardian for
permission before entering the competition or providing any personal information.
6. The Competition commences at 12:01am (AEDST) on Tuesday, 15thMarch 2011 and entries close at 11:59pm (AEDST) on Wednesday, 14th
September 2011
(Competition Period). Six monthly competitions will be held during the Competition
Period, over the following dates:
i. Month 1: 12:01am (AEDST) Tuesday, 15th March 2011 - 11:59pm

ii. Month 2: 12:01am (AEST) Friday, 15th April 2011 - 11:59pm (AEST)

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, each month’s competition will be a
“Monthly Competition”.
7. Entries received after the closing date for each Monthly Competition will not be
eligible to win during that weeks draw. Entries are deemed to be received at the time
of receipt of the web entry into the Competition database and NOT the time of
transmission by the entrant.
8. No responsibility will be taken for late or lost entries.
9. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that the details in their Nick Name
profile are correct, including without limitation email and postal address details, and
no responsibility will be taken by the Promoter for any incorrect or out of date
information.
10. The Competition is a game of skill and the most creative entry as selected by the
judges after consideration for each Monthly Competition will be deemed the major
prize winner (“Major Prize Winner”) for that week, with 6 Major Prize Winners being
selected over the Competition Period.
11. The Monthly Competitions will be judged on the following dates during the
Competition Period:

12. The judging will be held at the Promoter’s offices, 5 Thomas Holt Drive, North Ryde,
NSW 2113.
13. The Major Prize Winner for each Monthly Competition will be notified by email and
telephone by close of business on the following dates for each Monthly Competition:
i. Month 1: Draw date of Friday 22

14. One (1) Major Prize Winner for each Monthly Competition will receive the following
prize:
1 x SpongeBob themed birthday party for up to 10 children to be held at the Major
Prize Winner’s nearest AMF Bowling centre, valued at $229 consisting of:
1 game of bowling
Kid’s meals
Arcade game tokens
Invitations & party bags
15. The total prize pool for the competition is $2290.
16. This prize is valid for one (1) calendar year from the date that each monthly winner is
drawn. The SpongeBob themed birthday can be taken until December 31, 2011. After
this date all subsequent parties will be “Superstar” themed.
17. Information about AMF Bowling centres, including locations, can be found at
http://www.amfbowling.com.au/18. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. The Promoter accepts no
responsibility for any variation in the value of the prizes.
19. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any part of the Prize for an item of
similar value.
20. Subject to Clause 20, all reasonable efforts will be used to contact the Major Prize
Winners. If the Promoter is unable to contact a winner after reasonable efforts or if
the winners fail to claim the prize within one month of being notified, the Promoter
may reward the unclaimed or undistributed prize to the next most creative entry. The
Prize remains the property of the Promoter until claimed by the winners.
21. The Promoter will not be responsible for replacing or retrieving any prize sent to an
incorrect address based on incorrect details included in an entrant’s entry, or details
that have not been updated by an entrant in their Nick Name profile.
22. The Major Prize Winner must provide proof of identity upon collection of the prize that
matches the details on the winning entry form. In the event that the Major Prize
Winner is unable to provide proof of identity, the Major Prize Winner’s legal guardian
must show proof of identification in their place.
23. The Promoter reserves the right to use the Major Prize Winners’ name, voice, and
likeness for advertising and publicity purposes in any media in perpetuity without
additional compensation.
23. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any additional costs that may be
associated with any prize, any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered
(including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), any damage resulting from
the hire car component of the prize, or for any personal injury or death suffered or
sustained as a result of any part of the prize except for any liability which cannot be
excluded by law.
24 By entering, entrants agree that the Promoter, their respective parent companies,
affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotions agencies, and their respective
officers, directors, and employees shall not be liable for injury, loss (including but not
limited to indirect or consequential loss), or damage of any kind resulting from
participating in this promotion or from the acceptance or use/misuse of the prize
awarded. This includes, without limitation, personal injury, death, and property
damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
25. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, or for any
of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Competition, or for
any technical error that may occur in the course of the administration of this
Competition. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission,
interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communication
failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.26. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or cancellation, the
promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
27. The judge’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
28. All entries become the property of the Promoter and may be used for promotional
purposes. By entering the Competition, each entrant consents to their personal
information being entered on to a database. Subject to the Promoter’s privacy policy.
Entrants who do not want their personal information used for the above purposes, or
who want to gain access to or correct their personal information should contact the
Promoter.
29. The Promoter is Nickelodeon Australia Management Pty Limited (ACN 071 493 340),
5 Thomas Holt Drive, North Ryde NSW 2113.
30. These Terms and Conditions are to be construed according to the laws New South
Wales, Australia and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that
state
