1. How do I enter the Facebook Tag & Win Competition?
•Like the page if you haven't already
•Click the 'Tag & Win' app, located underneath the profile picture.
•Once you've entered the app you will be able to see a pages from the catalogue, displaying toys. Click on the item that you want and tag it. If you are the first person to tag the item then you can win it.
•You will be taken through to a claim form which you will have to complete in 5 mins to secure your prize.

2. It's not working!
Check the following:
•Have you liked the BIG W page?
•Have you allowed the app access to your Facebook page? When you click on the app you will be directed to a permissions page. Click 'allow' to proceed to the Tag & Win app.
•Have you allowed pop-ups on your browser? You can change this by heading to the settings menu in your web browser.

3. How do I know if you've received my entry?
•Once you've confirmed your tag, your entry will be logged immediately.
•You'll be asked to confirm your tag and you can share this to your wall.
•You will then be taken through to a claim form which you will have to complete in 5 mins to secure your prize.

4. How many prizes can I win each day?
•You can only win 1 toy per day
•Once you have won a toy you will not be able to tag any other toys that day
•If you win a toy one day you will be able to return the next day to try and win another toy

5. How many times can I enter Tag & Win?
•You can only tag an item once, however you can tag up to 5 items each day.
•We will release new pages from the catalogue every day

6. How will I know if I've won?
•You'll be taken to our claim form where you'll have exactly 5 mins to fill in your details.
•Please fill in all fields with marked with an asterisk.

7. I've been directed to the claims form, but my session has timed out
•Unfortunately your prize has not been claimed. As the nature of the competition is first-in, first-served, we can't hold your prize for longer than 5 minutes.

8. Can I access Tag and Win from my Mobile?
•No, unfortunately you can only access the Tag & Win Facebook app from a computer.

9. What time each day will the new pages be released?
•We'll be releasing the new pages at random times throughout the day to keep the competition fair.

10. I really want to win a specific prize. How will I know which section this prize will be in?
•Head to the "release schedule" to find out on which days we'll be releasing each section. Each section contains specific pages from the catalogue which will be listed.

11. Why is there only five tags per person, per day?
•In the spirit of fairness, the BIG W team believes that everyone should have an equal chance to win from the prize pool. The number five was selected to give everyone the same opportunity to try and score.

12. Can I view the winners?
•Yes, just head to the Winner's Gallery where you can view a list of your friends who have won prizes!

"BIG W TOY SPECTACULAR TAG & WIN" PROMOTION
1. Instructions on how to participate in the 'Tag & Win' Game, claim a prize and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Promotion commences at 11am AEST on 01/07/2011 and ends at 11pm AEST on 07/07/2011 or when all prizes have been claimed, whichever is first to occur ("Promotional Period").

3. Participation is only open to Australian residents aged 13 years or over who have a Facebook account.

4. Participants between the ages of 13 and 17 years old must have parental/guardian approval to participate in the 'Tag & Win' Game and further, the parent/guardian of the participant must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions. Parents/guardians may be required by the Promoter to enter into a further agreement as evidence of consent to the minor submitting a claim in this promotion.

5. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to participate. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.

6. To be eligible to participate in the 'Tag & Win' Game, individuals must complete the following steps during the Promotional Period:

a) visit the Big W Australia Facebook Page (facebook.com/BIGWaustralia);

b) become a fan of the Big W Facebook Australia Page by clicking the 'like' button (if not an existing fan of the Page);

c) click the 'Tag & Win' application on the left panel of the Big W Australia Facebook Page;

d) click the 'allow' button as prompted, to permit the Promoter access to their basic information (including their name, profile picture, gender, networks, user ID, list of friends, and any other information they have shared with everyone on Facebook); and

e) Read and consent to the Terms and Conditions;

7. The 'Tag & Win' Game will be available to play at random times during the Promotional Period. To play the 'Tag & Win' Game individuals must:

I. Click the 'Start Tagging' button to be directed to a mock toy catalogue containing prizes (each Game session will display a different mock toy catalogue); and

II. click a prize by clicking on the toy in the catalogue they would like to claim.

The first individual to click a prize will be directed to a claim form where they have to complete the requested details including their full name, valid email address and postal address and submit. Only the first person who clicks on a prize and is taken to the claim form page is considered to have 'tagged' the prize. Individuals have five (5) minutes in which to complete and submit the claim form. An individual who completes and submits the claim form within the five (5) minute allotted time frame will be notified that they have won the prize they tagged. If an individual fails to complete the claim form within the allotted time frame they forfeit their right to the prize and the prize will once again be available to claim. The first person who clicks the prize after this five (5) minute time frame has extinguished will be directed to the claim form and if completed and submitted in five (5) minutes they will win the prize.
An individual who clicks a prize which has already been tagged will receive a pop-up message telling them that they are not the first person to click the prize. Their click of the prize which is in the process of being claimed is not considered a 'tag'. These individuals can try clicking the prize again later in case the first person who clicks the prize does not complete the claim form within the allotted time frame. Once a prize has been tagged and the claim form has been completed the prize will be listed as having been won in the winner's gallery and people will not be able to tag it.
8. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims and participants (including a participant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any participant who submits a claim that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the claim process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

9. Incomplete or indecipherable claim forms will be deemed invalid.

10. Multiple claims permitted per person, subject to the following: (a) only five (5) tags permitted per person per day; (b) each entrant is only permitted to tag the same prize once; and (c) each claim submitted must be in accordance with the claim requirements.

11. Once a person has won a prize they will not be permitted to play the 'Tag & Win' Game for the remainder of the day on which they won the prize.

12. If there is a dispute as to the identity of a participant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the participant.

13. Participants will be notified immediately online if they are a winner.

14. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

17. If for any reason a winner does not take a prize (or an element of the prize) by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.

18. If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.

19. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

20. Participants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.

21. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any participant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

22. Any cost associated with accessing the Big W Australia Facebook Page is the participant's responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.

23. The use of any automated software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows a participant to automatically claim repeatedly is prohibited and will render all claims submitted by that participant invalid.

24. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia ("Non-Excludable Guarantees"). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.

25. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any claim that is late, lost, altered or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize values to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a participant; or (g) use of a prize.

26. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Claiming is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the participant. Participants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All claims become the property of the Promoter.

27. Entry and continued participation in the promotion is dependent on participants following and acting in accordance with the Facebook Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, which can be viewed at www.facebook.com/terms.php.

Participants understand that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. Jetaime, I think you can choose who to send the'I've started using...')message to, and I don't think it ties up your profile too much, or would be too much of a nuisance.  It doesn't seem to 'swamp' my site with messages at all, and most people (friends)would probably enjoy a chance to play.  It shouldn't keep swamping them with messages to start playing, either, I wouldn't think.

"BIG W TOY SPECTACULAR TAG & WIN" PROMOTION

1. Instructions on how to participate in the 'Tag & Win' Game, claim a prize and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Promotion commences at 11am AEST on 01/07/2011 and ends at 11pm AEST on 07/07/2011 or when all prizes have been claimed, whichever is first to occur ("Promotional Period").

3. Participation is only open to Australian residents aged 13 years or over who have a Facebook account.

4. Participants between the ages of 13 and 17 years old must have parental/guardian approval to participate in the 'Tag & Win' Game and further, the parent/guardian of the participant must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions. Parents/guardians may be required by the Promoter to enter into a further agreement as evidence of consent to the minor submitting a claim in this promotion.

5. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to participate. b) become a fan of the Big W Facebook Australia Page by clicking the 'like' button (if not an existing fan of the Page);

c) click the 'Tag & Win' application on the left panel of the Big W Australia Facebook Page;

d) click the 'allow' button as prompted, to permit the Promoter access to their basic information (including their name, profile picture, gender, networks, user ID, list of friends, and any other information they have shared with everyone on Facebook); and

e) Read and consent to the Terms and Conditions;

7. The 'Tag & Win' Game will be available to play at random times during the Promotional Period. To play the 'Tag & Win' Game individuals must:

I. Click the 'Start Tagging' button to be directed to a mock toy catalogue containing prizes (each Game session will display a different mock toy catalogue); and

II. click a prize by clicking on the toy in the catalogue they would like to claim.

The first individual to click a prize will be directed to a claim form where they have to complete the requested details including their full name, valid email address and postal address and submit. Only the first person who clicks on a prize and is taken to the claim form page is considered to have 'tagged' the prize. Individuals have five (5) minutes in which to complete and submit the claim form. An individual who completes and submits the claim form within the five (5) minute allotted time frame will be notified that they have won the prize they tagged. If an individual fails to complete the claim form within the allotted time frame they forfeit their right to the prize and the prize will once again be available to claim. The first person who clicks the prize after this five (5) minute time frame has extinguished will be directed to the claim form and if completed and submitted in five (5) minutes they will win the prize.

An individual who clicks a prize which has already been tagged will receive a pop-up message telling them that they are not the first person to click the prize. Their click of the prize which is in the process of being claimed is not considered a 'tag'. These individuals can try clicking the prize again later in case the first person who clicks the prize does not complete the claim form within the allotted time frame. Once a prize has been tagged and the claim form has been completed the prize will be listed as having been won in the winner's gallery and people will not be able to tag it.

8. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims and participants (including a participant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any participant who submits a claim that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the claim process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

9. Incomplete or indecipherable claim forms will be deemed invalid.

10. Multiple claims permitted per person, subject to the following: (a) only five (5) tags permitted per person per day; (b) each entrant is only permitted to tag the same prize once; and (c) each claim submitted must be in accordance with the claim requirements.

11. Once a person has won a prize they will not be permitted to play the 'Tag & Win' Game for the remainder of the day on which they won the prize.

17. If for any reason a winner does not take a prize (or an element of the prize) by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.

I find it irritating too that even when I get in, the page comes up with an "oops sorry" sign. I'm sure they tried their hardest to have it not crash but oh well. Hopefully I"ll have better luck later!
