You've all seen how stunning and gorgeous the cover for Sue Saliba's new novel Alaska is. Well now, BTL has a very special prize up-for-grabs. We've got an Alaska prize pack on offer containing a copy of the book, a one-off A3 size Alaska poster and a limited edition Fawn Brooch from Bonnie Poplar.

Proof of purchase is not required to enter. To enter email btl@au.penguingroup.com and tell us in 25 words or less why you would like to read Alaska. between Wednesday 29th June 2011 and Wednesday 20th July 2011.
2.
This promotion is open to Australian residents with the exception of those related to employees of the Promoter, their families, agents and anyone else connected with this promotion.
3.
The competition closes midnight AEST, Wednesday 20th July 2011 subject to Paragraph 14 below. The Promoter, Penguin Books (Australia) accepts no liability for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on–line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems and/or traffic congestion on telephone networks or lines that cause late or delayed entries, or for any lost and/or misdirected entries not received by the closing date.

Competition winners will be judged at 10am AEST, Thursday 21st July, 2011 at Penguin Books (Australia), 250 Camberwell Road, Camberwell, Victoria, 3124 and the winners’ name and state will be announced on betweenthelines.com.au from Thursday 21st July, 2011.
5.
The winners will be notified by phone/email. You must claim your prize within 21 days after we notify you.
6.
Your prize will be sent to you within 28 working days after claiming the prize.
7.
Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Entries will be judged in regard to written skill and creativity of reply.
8.
Do not send any creative materials apart from your written entry, as no material can or will be returned.
9.
By entering this competition each entrant confirms that his/her entry is their wholly-owned creation and to the extent that such entry makes use of any third party materials that these have been fully cleared unless they are no longer protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights. Entrants will indemnify and keep the Promoter harmless from any claims in relation to their entry that the entry infringes the personal or proprietary right of any other person or third party. By submitting an entry, each entrant grants to the Promoter a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to edit, publish, translate, modify, adapt, make available and distribute the entry throughout the world in any media now known or hereafter invented. Each entrant undertakes to complete any necessary documentation to formalise the licence. If you do not want to grant us these rights, please do not submit materials to us.

All entries become the property of Penguin Books (Australia).

The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

In total there is 1 prize to win valued at no more than $99.95rrp.
13.
The winner will receive a copy of the book, Alaska by Sue Saliba ($19.95), an A3 Alaska poster ($45.00) and a Fawn Brooch from Bonnie Poplar ($35.00). The total value of prizes on offer is $99.95rrp.
14.
Participation is not transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other goods or services.If for any reason the promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right in its discretion (subject always to any direction given by a relevant gaming or lotteries authority) to cancel, terminate, extend, modify or suspend the promotion. The Promoter may in its discretion disqualify any individual who tampers or interferes with the participation process.
15.
The personal information you submit as a participant will be collected by the Promoter, Penguin Books (Australia). Your personal information will be stored and used for purposes related to the Promotion and for direct marketing by Penguin
Books (Australia) in accordance with the applicable privacy legislation including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). It will not be disclosed to any other organisation. A copy of the Promoter’s privacy policy can be viewed at http://www.penguin.com.au/Privacy/PandSstatement.htm. Please tick the box on the online entry form if you wish to receive marketing information from us. Access to your personal information held by Penguin can be arranged by contacting Penguin’s Privacy Officer.

Each participant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including without limitation negligence), for any loss or damage; whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia.
