Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter & prizes form part of these terms & conditions. Any entry not
complying with these terms and conditions is invalid.
2. Entry is open to residents of Australia over the age of 18 who are members of the Friends for
Life program and who have a valid email address. Employees of the Promoter, the
Promoter’s associated companies, the Promoter’s agencies associated with this competition
and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
3. The promotion commences at 9am Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time (“AEDST”) 27
September 2011 & closes at 5pm AEDST on 26 October 2011 (“Promotion Period”).
4. To enter, purchase (in a single transaction) any combination of 20 cans of FANCY FEAST,
(includes the White Label, SENSATIONS and Royale ranges) from a participating Petbarn
store (“Eligible Purchase”) and visit
www.petbarn.com.au and follow the prompts to submit
your entry. For each entry, the entrant must provide: (a) his/her Friends for Life membership
number; (b) the date of the Eligible Purchase; (c) the transaction number on the Eligible
Purchase; and (d) all other details required at the competition website. For any questions
concerning the Friends for Life program, please call 1300 655 896 or contact your local store.
(N.B. Keep your original purchase receipt safe until after the prize draw.)
5. One chance in the prize draw will be awarded for each Eligible Purchase. Entry is not limited
provided each entry is entered separately on the website and each entry can be verified by a
valid purchase receipt.
6. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and reserves the right to
disqualify any individual entrant or group of entrants for tampering with the entry process,
including but not limited to making multiple entries that are not associated with a separate
Eligible Purchase, or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these conditions
of entry.
7. All valid entries received during the Promotion Period will be entered into the prize draw.
8. The prize is a NESPRESSO DeLonghi CITIZ – 60s White coffee machine (EN165CW) valued
at $369 recommended retail price (“RRP”).There are 60 prizes in total to be won.
9. Prize draw will take place at 12 noon on 2 November 2011 at Unit 6, 106 Old Pittwater Road,
Brookvale NSW 2100. The first 60 valid entries drawn, will win a prize.
10. All winners will be notified by phone and in writing and their names will be published in The
Australian on 16 November 2011. All winners’ names and postcodes may also appear at
www.petbarn.com.au.
11. Total prize pool is valued at $22,140 RRP.
12. Prizes are not transferable & cannot be taken as cash.
13. Prize value is correct at time of printing but no responsibility is accepted for any variation in
the value of the prize.
14. The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered, including but
not limited to indirect or consequential loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained during
the course of accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded
by law.

15. Each entry becomes the property of the Promoter.
16. Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
17. The Promoter may conduct an unclaimed prize draw at the same time and place as the
original prize draws on 2 February 2012 to distribute any prize that remains unclaimed by
that date subject to any written directions given by a relevant lotteries or gaming authority. All
entries received (that did not win a prize in the original prize draw) will be entered into the
unclaimed prize draw and the first valid entry drawn will win the unclaimed prize. The draw
will continue until all unclaimed prizes have been distributed. Any winner of such a draw will
be contacted in writing by mail and phone and will have their name and postcode published
in The Australian on 14th February 2012 and also appear at
www.petbarn.com.au/18. Each winner should look to the manufacturer of products and provider or services awarded
as prizes for all warranties. However, these terms and conditions do not exclude or limit the
application of any statutory provision (including a provision of the Competition and Consumer
Act 1974) where to do so would contravene that statute or cause any part of these terms and
conditions to be void.
19. Subject to the approval process required by any relevant gaming or lotteries authority, in the
event that any prize item is unavailable despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to
procure within Australia, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a different prize item of
equal or greater value.
20. Prizes will only be delivered in Australia and each winner should allow 28 days from the prize
draw for delivery of their prize.
