The answer appears to require a CHARACTER whose HERO turns out to be the bellboy.

And yes, they are often very obscure!!!!

Yes, it's a diificult parsing of language. To me "Which hero" would suggest a character and "Whose hero" suggests a film. Not sure to be honest.

They've all won Golden Glode Awards.

I'm not sure if this is what they mean? My source is googling each name and "golden globe wiki". You'll find each has won a Golden Globe.

Good point, "whose hero" could mean the actor, or the director, even the writer!

Strictly speaking, Cyd Charisse is wearing a long scarf, not a head-dress or veil. I wonder if it makes any difference? Is there another film out there that is a better fit?

The quiz is now online at http://www.stack.net.au/comp.php?goto=280

Again it's only $250 this month so it looks as though they've given up on the jackpots- even though they did not have a July winner. Plus they have yet to announce winners for August, September & October.
