Separate terms and conditions apply to each of the Stories Beat Stuff Competition and Voter Competition and are set out below.

Entrant Terms & Conditions
Section A: Preliminary Entrant Terms

The following terms and conditions (referred to as the 'Entrant Terms'), and any instructions on how to enter, apply to the 'Stories Beat Stuff' competition ('the Competition').
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please read these Entrant Terms very carefully before you fill in the Competition entry form and submit your video clip or image (all together referred to as the 'Entry').

You, as the entrant of the Competition (referred to as the 'Entrant') must read and agree to these Entrant Terms before submitting an Entry. By completing and submitting an Entry, Entrants are deemed to have confirmed that they have read, understood and unequivocally accept all of the Entrant Terms of the Competition and meet the eligibility requirements outlined in paragraph 11 (Eligibility) of Section B of these Entrant Terms. Please note that the Competition is open to residents of any country except New Zealand.

Nature of the Competition: Full details of the 'Stories Beat Stuff' competition, are set out at www.newzealand.com/int/campaign/stories-beat-stuff. In summary:

The Competition involves two (2) different and separate travel experiences (each an 'Experience').
The two (2) Experiences are named 'Summer Rhythm' and 'Beaches and Boats' respectively.
An Entrant may submit one (1) Entry for each of the two (2) Experiences. The Entrant must enter each one of the Experiences separately; an Entry for one Experience is for that Experience only and does not automatically enter the Entrant into the other Experience. The Entrant must fill out a separate Entry form for each Experience; however the Entrant may submit the same video or image for both of his or her Entries.
To enter the Competition, an Entrant must:

Create an online account on the TNZ '100% Pure New Zealand' website at the www.newzealand.com/int/ URL;
submit, via the www.newzealand.com/int/campaign/stories-beat-stuff URL, a completed online entry form in respect of each chosen Experience. Each Entrant must provide all information required on the entry form, including, but not limited to, his or her correct name, postal address, and email address; and
create a video clip, and upload that video clip to YouTube and include in the entry form the hyperlink to the relevant page on YouTube where the video can be viewed. The video must be a maximum of five (5) minutes in length. The video must be the Entrant's own content and must not contain offensive, illegal or pornographic material or any other material deemed unsuitable (in the sole opinion of TNZ) or alternatively the Entrant may submit an image with a supporting description instead of a video as part of his or her Entry; and
nominate in the video or in the description that accompanies the submitted image in the entry form an item to trade in accordance with the requirements set out in paragraph 10 ('Nominated Item') of Section B of these Entrant Terms. This item, if suitable, in the sole and exclusive opinion of TNZ, will be donated to a registered charity of the Entrant's choice (identified in the entry form and video or in the description that accompanies the submitted image) if that Entrant is chosen as a winner of a prize ('Prize Winner').
The Entrant may share his or her video or image on the Facebook or Twitter social network sites. By sharing any video or image the Entrant accepts the Terms of Service of Facebook or Twitter (as the case may be), which can be found at the http://www.facebook.com/terms.php?ref=pf URL and http://twitter.com/tos URL respectively.
Entries submitted by any other means will not be accepted. If an Entrant fails to comply with any of these Entrant Terms the relevant Entry will be void.
Each Entrant may submit one (1) Entry for each of the two (2) Experiences, any additional Entries by the same Entrant will be deemed to be void (that is, an Entrant may only submit a total of two (2) Entries, one (1) Entry for each of the two (2) Experiences). The Entrant may use the same or a new and original video or image for each Entry.
Once the Competition is closed (relevant dates are set out in Section C of these Entrant Terms), twenty (20) Entries from each of the two (2) Experiences will be selected to progress to the next stage for consideration as a winner of a prize for that particular Experience (referred to as 'Finalists'). Finalists will be announced in accordance with the dates set out in Section C of these Entrant Terms.
Finalists for each of the two (2) Experiences will be selected as follows:

Ten (10) Entries from each Experience will be determined by the ten (10) Entries that receive the largest number of votes submitted by members of the public to the www.newzealand.com/int/campaign/stories-beat-stuff URL in support of an Entry. The public will submit votes in support of an Entry on the Competition website. Voters enter the 'Stories Beat Stuff Voter Competition' for the chance to win a prize. The Stories Beat Stuff Voter Competition is separate to this Competition and the terms and conditions can be viewed at the www.newzealand.com/int/campaign/stories-beat-stuff/terms-and-conditions.cfm URL. In the event that there is a tie in the number of votes between two (2) or more Entries, TNZ may either conduct a random draw to decide which Entry gains a place in the ten voter-determined Entries or choose between the Entries at its sole discretion; and
Ten (10) Entries from each Experience will be selected by TNZ in its sole and exclusive discretion. Entrants will be judged on creativity, availability, personality, overall style and the nominated item to be traded.
Following announcement of the Finalists, one (1) Entry from the Finalists from each Experience will then be chosen as a Prize Winner at the sole and exclusive discretion of TNZ. There will be a total of two (2) Prize Winners, one (1) Prize Winner from each of the two (2) Experiences. The Prize Winner for each Experience will be announced in accordance with the dates set out in Section C of these Entrant Terms.
Entrants in the Competition may also vote for any other Entrant of the Competition and may also enter the Stories Beat Stuff Voter Competition. For more information on the Stories Beat Stuff Voter Competition please view the www.newzealand.com/int/campaign/stories-beat-stuff URL and the Stories Beat Stuff Voter Competition terms and conditions provided below these Terms.

Legal and Credit check: By agreeing to these Voter Terms, the Voter acknowledges that he or she does not have any criminal convictions or other impediment that would prevent them from travelling to or entering New Zealand. By agreeing to the Voter Terms of the Voter Competition the Voter agrees to TNZ undertaking any background, legal or credit checks it so desires.
Eligibility: A person is eligible to enter and may submit a vote if that person is:

either a permanent resident or a citizen of any country except New Zealand and has a primary place of residence in any country except New Zealand at the time of entering the Voter Competition; and
eighteen(18) years of age or older; and
not an employee (or an immediate family member of an employee) of any Supplier (or of any of the Suppliers respective suppliers, participating agents, distributors, agents, and associated entities).
The Suppliers reserve the right to verify the eligibility of Voters.

No payment necessary: No payment or purchase is necessary to enter the Voter Competition, but any costs associated with obtaining internet access in order to submit any Entry for the Voter Competition will be the sole responsibility of the respective Voters.
Draw: After the closing date of the Voter Competition (which is set out in paragraph 5 of these Voter Terms), the Prize Winner will be drawn randomly from the voter draw using an electronic process.
Notification of Prize Winner: TNZ will endeavour to notify the Prize Winner using the email address provided by the Voter when submitting his or her Entry within 48 hours of the closing date set out in paragraph 5 ('Notification'). The name of the Prize Winner will be published on the www.newzealand.com/int/campaign/stories-beat-stuff URL and may remain published for a period of up to six (6) months following publication.
Claiming the Prize: The Prize Winner must, within one (1) week of Notification, claim his or her Prize by following all instructions provided by TNZ in the Notification to the Prize Winner. The Prize Winner may be required to prove their identity (including confirmation of current residency or citizenship in accordance with the eligibility criteria). If the Prize Winner does not claim the Prize in accordance with this paragraph 18 (Claiming the Prize) the Prize Winner will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize and, at TNZ's discretion, TNZ may draw a new winner. Any Prize Winner is subject to the foregoing terms of this paragraph 18 (Claiming the Prize).
Decisions: TNZ's decisions regarding all aspects of the Voter Competition including, without limitation, decisions regarding the eligibility of votes, the conduct of the Voter Competition, the interpretation of these Voter Terms and the allocation of the Prize, are final. No correspondence will be entered into. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

No decisions of TNZ may be challenged on any grounds, including (without limitation), due to any alleged or actual failure of TNZ to act reasonably, fairly, in good faith, or otherwise in accordance with the principles of procedural fairness; and
TNZ's decisions will remain binding and conclusive even if those decisions were allegedly or actually wrong or based on any factual error or otherwise based on any unreasonable, irrational, or irrelevant consideration.
Cancellation, changes or substitution: TNZ reserves the right to cancel the Voter Competition or any Experience in the Stories Beat Stuff Competition, or to change any Term of the Voter Competition, without notice. TNZ reserves the right to substitute the Prize or any part of the Prize (due to unavailability or for any other reason) with a different Prize or part of the Prize of equal or greater monetary value.
Publicity: In order to receive any Prize or benefit from the Competition, the Prize Winner and Travellers must:

agree to be interviewed and photographed and agree to be available for interviewing, photography and for other public relations and promotional activities associated with the Voter Competition, as required by TNZ or any of the Suppliers; and
agree to allow TNZ to make contact (whether in person, by phone, email or otherwise) for the purpose of requesting further information; and
consent to their names, photographs and likenesses being recorded, reproduced, published, copied, communicated and otherwise used by TNZ for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in any television programme, video recording, or printed or electronic materials, throughout the world, in perpetuity, and without the need for any compensation other than the Prize.
Ownership: All Entries and votes (including all copyright and other intellectual property rights that may subsist therein) shall be and remain the property of TNZ and may be copied, published, adapted, communicated and used by TNZ for any purpose (including, without limitation, future promotional, public relations, and sales development activities) without the need to obtain permission of, or to compensate, any Voter. The Voter must take all steps and sign all documents necessary to transfer ownership of such intellectual property rights to TNZ.
Liability: Acceptance and use of the Prize is at the Traveller's own risk and is his or her responsibility. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TNZ (and for the purposes of this paragraph and the Voter Competition, its related companies, associated entities, employees, contractors and agents) and the Suppliers shall not be liable for any personal injury, loss, damage (whether direct or indirect), cost, or expense howsoever caused (including through negligence or breach of statutory duty) arising out of or in connection with:

the Voter Competition, the Prize, or the claiming or use of the Prize;
the acts or omissions of TNZ or any of the Suppliers; and
any act of God, or other event or occurrence beyond the control of TNZ or any of the Suppliers.
Warranties: To the maximum extent permitted by law, TNZ (and for the purposes of this paragraph and the Voter Competition, its related companies, associated entities, employees, contractors and agents) and any of the Suppliers disclaim all guarantees, warranties, and representations of any kind (whether express, implied or statutory) in respect of the Voter Competition, the Prize, and the claiming and use of the Prize.
Privacy: Personal information provided by each Voter will be collected, stored and used by TNZ for:

the purpose of conducting the Voter Competition; and
additional purposes (such as research, promotion, or marketing activities to provide Voters with information and promotional material relating to New Zealand tourism and travel) where that Voter agrees that TNZ may use his or her personal information for those additional purposes, but will not otherwise be used or disclosed by TNZ, except as required or permitted by the New Zealand Privacy Act 1993 or by other applicable laws.
The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with the Voter Competition is governed by TNZ's Privacy Policy. A copy of TNZ's Privacy Policy may be obtained from the following URL-www.newzealand.com/int/utilities/terms-of-use/. A Voter may request access to, or correction of, information held by TNZ about that Voter by writing to TNZ at 147 Victoria Street West, Auckland, New Zealand 1010 or calling TNZ on +64 9 914 4780.

Breach of Term: If a Voter or a Traveller breaches any of these Voter Terms he or she may be disqualified from the Voter Competition and in the case of the Traveller, his or her Prize may be revoked, in each case at the discretion of TNZ.
Governing Law: The Voter Competition and these Voter Terms shall be governed by New Zealand law and the courts of New Zealand shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine all issues and disputes that may arise in relation to the Voter Competition or these Voter Terms. Voters and Travellers submit to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts and agree that the New Zealand courts are a convenient forum in which to resolve any issue or dispute arising out of or in relation to the Voter Competition.
Conflicting Law: In the event that acceptance and receipt of the Prize by a Traveller, would be in conflict with or be in breach of any local law or legal requirement within the local jurisdiction of that Traveller, TNZ reserves the right to withhold or withdraw the offer of the Prize to the Traveller, with no further correspondence entered into between TNZ and the Traveller and without liability to the Traveller or any other person.
