Books in Print and Jeffreys Books are hosting an intimate evening with internationally acclaimed Australian author Elliot Perlman as he discusses his work and reads from his new novel.
Perlman’s latest novel, The Street Sweeper, is epic in scope, stretching from the Holocaust to the civil rights movement in the US, touching on essential human stories along the way.
Born in Melbourne, Perlman studied law at Monash University. He began writing short stories in the early 1990s while working as a judge’s associate, and won The Age‘s short story competition in 1994. His well-known novel Three Dollars was produced as a film in 2005, starring David Wenham and Frances O’Connor.
