Competition Terms & Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the
competition is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
2. The competition commences on 07th November 2011 at 11:59pm AEST and closes at 11:59pm AEST on 20th
December 2011.
3. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries not received. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for
any late, lost or misdirected entries.
3. The Promoter is Hachette Australia Pty Ltd, Level 17, 207 Kent St, Sydney, NSW, 2000.
4. This competition is open to Australian residents only, with prizes sent only to addresses within Australia. Entrants
may enter one (1) time only.
5. All entrants must be over the age of eighteen (18).
6. Hachette Australia Pty Ltd staff and trade customers and their immediate families are not permitted to enter this
competition.
7. To enter, participants must purchase a copy of Temple of the Gods (ISBN 9780755354719), visit
www.templeofthegods.com.au , click to enter through and play the online game completing all stages successfully,
and submit in twenty‐five (25) words of less an answer to “Why would you be the perfect companion to Nina Wilde
and Eddie Chase in their deadly global quest for Atlantis relics”? Entries must include the entrant’s full name, street
address including postcode and daytime telephone number.
8. Each entrant must retain and present proof of their purchase in order to claim the prize.
9. All valid entries received by the closing date will be read and the most original and creative response will be
selected by the Promoter as the winner. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. The judges’ decision is final
and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. There will be one (1) winner. The winner will be notified by email within four (4) weeks of the closing date and
the prize will be sent to the winner within eight (
of the closing date.
11. In the event of being unable to contact a winner within fourteen (14) days of the competition closing, the
Promoter reserves the right to reallocate the prize to the runner up entry, judged as per statement nine (9) on these
terms and conditions.
12. The prize is one (1) Apple iPad2® (16GB, Wi‐Fi, Colour: White) and one (1) Apple iPod touch® (8GB, Colour:
White). The prize is non transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. The Apple iPad2® prize has a retail value of
AUD $579. The Apple iPod touch® prize has a retail value of AUD $219.
13. The prize is non transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
14. Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices at the time of printing (inclusive of GST). The
Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the prize redemption date.
15. If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize
for another prize of equal or greater value, subject to State Regulation.
16. Once prizes have left the Promoter’s premises, the Promoter takes no responsibility for prizes
damaged, delayed or lost in transit.
17. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered, including but not limited to
direct or consequential loss, or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prizes
18. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the
opinion of Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory
statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in
accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter, engaged in conduct
in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or
reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if Promoter
becomes aware that the winner’s entry is of a type described in this clause.
19. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
20. All entries received remain the property of Hachette Australia Pty Ltd and may be used for
additional promotions.
