Registration
To register for the Need For Speed The Run Facebook competition (this “Competiton”) and have a chance to win great prizes, all you need to do is to go to EA GAMES Australia Facebook fan page (
http://www.facebook.com/EAGamesAustralia) (“Website”) through the competition application tab “Run for your life” (“Entrant”) during the Entry Period . Registration is open from 11:00am Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) on Wednesday 16th November 2011 to 11:5pm AEDT Tuesday 13th December 2011. No late registrations will be accepted. Registration Instructions form part of these Official Rules. This Competition is a game of skill in which chance plays no part in determining the winners.
By registering for the Competition, the Entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules.

The Promoter is The Promoter is Electronic Arts Proprietary Limited (ACN 003 367 824) a company incorporated in Australia and having its registered office at Suite 121, 26-32 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont, New South Wales, Australia, 2009 ("Promoter").
Eligibility and Entry Conditions
Registration for this Competition is open to residents of the participating countries who have attained the age of 18 years as at the Competition Start Time ("Age of Legal Majority"), provided that where an Entrant resident in these countries has not attained the Age of Legal Majority in his or her country of residence, the Entrant may still enter in the Competition if he or she has obtained the consent of his or her parent or legal guardian to enter the Competition and the Entrant's parent or legal guardian agrees to these terms and conditions on the Entrant's behalf. Employees of the Promoter and/or its related companies and/or any agencies associated with the Competition, and members of their respective immediate families*, are not eligible to participate in the Competition. In registering for this Competition, Entrant shall warrant that he or she is an eligible Entrant. *"Immediate family" means spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural, or adopted by a parent), whether or not they live in the same household as the employee.
Timing
There will be ONE winner drawn after the competition of each week during the competition from entrants who have entered between the following dates.

Format and Structure
To enter, an Eligible Entrant must have a current Facebook Account for the duration of the Entry Period of the promotion.
To ensure that you complete the entry correctly, you must then follow prompts that take you through to completion of the competition:
You must be a fan of EA GAMES Australia on Facebook to enter this Competition. You can become a fan of EA GAMES Australia by clicking ‘Like’ button on the ‘fan page’ or within the ‘application’ on Facebook. Entrants are responsible for any internet connection costs.
To begin the entry process,
the Entrant must select their chosen Need For Speed The Run vehicle (2012 Porsche Carrera S, Lamborghini Aventador, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake or BMW E92 M3 GTS)
Based on the Entrant’s selection, the Entrant must answer the question in 25 words or less,
“Tell us in 25 words or less why you can’t wait to play the game?” Each Entrant must enter their full first and last Name, Age, Email address, Country of Residence and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
All entries must be legible and the original work of the Entrant. Incomplete, damaged or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid.
At the completion of each week of the Competition as stipulated in Section 5, the Promoter will decide a Winner from all the entries submitted during that week judged on who gives the best reason in 25 words or less of why they are looking forward to one of five upcoming EA games as chosen in the entry application.
Conduct and Instructions on Game Play
The Promoter may issue instructions on game play, mandatory game settings, game controller settings and rules ("Game Rules") as part of the Competition. The Game Rules will be made available at the Website. It is the sole responsibility of the Entrant to familiarise themselves with the Game Rules. Questions can be directed to the Competition staffs at the Venue.
The Entrant must, in participating in this Competition, comply with these Official Rules, the Game Rules and with all directions and instructions of the Competition Director.
Cheating, Abuse and Disorderly Behaviour
Any Entrant may be disqualified immediately from this Competition at the discretion of the Promoter for any failure to comply with these Official Rules, the Game Rules or any directions or instructions of the Competition Director, or for any cheating, including:
using any cheats, hacks or other 3rd party "helper" applications in playing games;
intentionally disconnecting from the Internet during any game;
colluding with other players in playing games; or
taking advantage of known exploits in the game (NB. it is the responsibility of players to understand and avoid all current illegal exploits).
Abusive or disorderly behaviour, including any use of harassing, negative, or profane language online, will not be tolerated and will also constitute grounds for immediate disqualification.
Prizes
All winners will be notified by email. The notification may include instructions as to how each winner is to claim their Prize and establish their entitlement to it.
The Entrant selected as the Winner in each week of the Competition will win; 160Gb PlayStation® 3 computer entertainment system, Logitech G27 Racing Wheel, Need For Speed The Run Limited Edition for PS3TM system, Shift 2 UnleashedTM for PS3TM system, Need For SpeedTM Hot Pursuit for PS3 TM system.
Winner Prize Conditions
Unless satisfactory proof of age any other is received within this period, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Winner and select another Entrant to receive the Prizes that the disqualified participant would have been awarded were it not for his or her disqualification.
Each Winner is required to sign and return to the Promoter the Affirmation and Release form.
The failure to return the signed Affirmation and Release by any Winner of this Competition may, in the Promoter's sole discretion, result in the entitlement to the Prize being forfeited, in which case another Entrant may be selected as the winner of that Prize.
If the value of a Prize is specified in Section 9, to the fullest extent permitted by law the Promoter takes no responsibility for any variations in that value.
Except with the written consent of the Promoter, Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and non-cash prizes cannot be taken as cash. The Promoter has absolute discretion as to whether to provide such consent and is under no obligation to provide any reasons to any person for providing, or withholding, consent.
If a Prize, or any part of a Prize, is “cash”, the “cash” will be paid by cheque drawn in favour of the relevant Winner.
In the event that any Prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with cash or another prize of equal or greater value.
Recordings, Media and Publicity
In registering for this Competition, each Entrant authorises the Promoter to use, publish and display his or her name and likeness and any footage, recordings and/or photographs of him or her recorded or taken during this Competition, or any reproduction or modification thereof, in any manner and medium throughout the world for advertising, trade, promotion, exhibition and any other lawful purpose.
Taxes
Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of a Winner receiving a prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Without prejudice to the foregoing, the Promoter reserves the right to deduct any taxes owing in respect of such Prize from any cash amounts payable, to the extent applicable.
Exclusion of Liability
By registering for this Competition each Entrant assumes sole liability for any personal injury and/or damage to property caused or claimed to have been caused to him or her as a result of or in connection with participating in this Competition and/or any Prize.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
inaccurate registration information or unsuccessful registration,
purported entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are lost, misdirected or stolen, or that are received, but are late, illegible, or incomplete
any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any communication network or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software,
the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website,
unauthorised human intervention in any part of this Competition,
electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of this Competition,
any loss, damage or injury suffered or incurred by any Entrant or any other person as a result of or in connection with participation in this Competition and/or any Prize, howsoever caused;
any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the Entrant's or any other person's computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in connection with this Competition.
These Official Rules do not affect, and are not intended to affect, any rights or remedies a consumer might have, which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its servants or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the Prize supplied again.
Tampering and other Failures
If for any reason this Competition are not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or who may benefit form such tampering, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Competition.
Privacy
In order to participate in the Competition, the Promoter will collect personal data from all Entrants for the following purposes:
to administer and promote the Competition, its Entrants and any entries received
to contact Entrants regarding the Competition.
The personal data of all Entrants may be provided to third parties who perform certain tasks for the Promoter in connection with the Competition including but not limited to the Promoter's contractors, agents or other operators.
If an Entrant does not truthfully provide all personal data requested by the Promoter, the Promoter may determine that the Entrant is not eligible to win any prizes.
All Entrants consent to the use of their personal data for the Promoter's promotional and marketing purposes in connection with the Competition and agree to participate in reasonable promotional activities in connection with the Competition as requested by the Promoter.
The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity, accuracy and provide of the information provided.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts for the resolution of any dispute, difference, controversy or claim arising in connection with these Official Rules and/or this Competition.
