Finally, a positive outcome regarding my complaint over not receiving the Pam Ayres tickets...

All that it took was: almost three weeks of intermittent dealing with this issue, numerous emails, a comment on Facebook, contacting the Office of Fair Trading, NSW, Office of Liquor and Gaming, NSW, a complaint to ABC's Legal Department, and contacting someone higher than the original person with whom I was communicating with at ABC where I made an offer of contacting the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

I will be receiving a formal apology, almost $250 worth of DVD's - what was offered in lieu of the prize, and the dollar value of the original prize. Personally, I would have had a great time seeing Pam Ayres, and would have preferred this over what I went through to have this issue resolved.

***Update: As at writing this, a few minutes' ago, I received an e-mail apologising for the inconvenience - and amending the date for when I will receive the remainder of the compensation to, "...It is anticipated this will be sent to you in the New Year." - so much for the guarantee of everything being sent out to me today.

On a brighter note: I received a double pass to The Adventures of Tintin from Best Western.

My husband received his Warner DVD.

...and I received a wem advising that I am a winner of a Gloria Jean's coffee gift pack.
