The Good Guys “Win with Tintin” Competition
Promotion Terms and Conditions
1. To be eligible to enter, entrants must register on The Good Guys Facebook page and answer the question “My favourite Tintin character is ....?” Entries must be received between Monday 26th December, 2011 at 10am AEDST and Wednesday 4th January, 2012 at 11.59pm inclusive (“Promotion Period”).
2. Multiple Entries are not permitted, only one entry per household address will be allowed.
3. One winner will be awarded with 1x (one) LG 55” Full HD 3D LED LCD TV (model: 55LW5700), 1x (one) Xbox 360 250GB KINECT Holiday Console Bundle (Model No: 111435) and ”The Adventures of Tintin: The Game” total prize valued at $2,385RRP. There are 10 runners up prizes to be won with a choice of a The Adventures of Tintin: The Game for Xbox360, PS3 or Wii console. (Valued at $89.95RRP for Xbox and PS3 and $69.95 RRP for Wii)
4. The judging will take place on Thursday 5th January 2012 at The Good Guys Support Centre, 10 Hood Street, Airport West VIC 3042. The winners will be notified by email by Thursday 5th January 2012.
5. The winner can collect the LG 55” Full HD 3D LED LCD TV and Xbox 360 250GB KINECT Holiday Console Bundle by appointment from their nearest The Good Guys store. If the winner of any prize lives outside the catchment of a store that stocks that product, the prize will be shipped to the winner.
6. The 11 “The Adventures of Tintin: The Game“ console games of your choice will be mailed to winners by the 20th January 2012.
7. The Promotion is open to all residents of Australia aged 18 years or over. However, employees of The Good Guys and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to participate.
8. The Promoter reserves the right to request entrants to provide such proof of identity; age and proof of residency as considered suitable at the discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries not received by the Promoter or delays due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason.
9. Prizes cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.
10. If a prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a product of equal or greater value, subject to State Regulation.
11. The winners will be notified via their registered email address.
12. Prizes will only be awarded to the account holder of the nominated email address used to submit their entry. The winners therefore must be, in each case, the email account holder.
13. Should an entrant’s contact details change during the Promotional Period, it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to the Promoter.
14. The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the Promotion result.
15. It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the entrant must comply with all the conditions of use of the Promoter’s requirements.
16. The Promoter reserves the right to announce the winner to the public, by first name and state of residence. This may be announced on any media, including social media channels, website or print publications.
17. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
18. The Promoter and their subsidiaries and companies assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission; communications; line failure; theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries, and reserve the right to take any action that may be available.
19. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the Entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, subject to any written direction given under State Regulation.
