We are very excited to have been given the opportunity from our friends at Secret Walls to be able to shout one lucky reader a double pass to get on down to Round 3 of Melbourne Secret Walls being held next week. The lucky winner and their homie will be getting amongst it when comic creative Katie Houghton-Ward (anyone remember ‘Deckheadz’ in 3D World?) and street artist Jack Douglas strap on their battle boots, grab their markers and paint brushes and fight their way through to the semi-finals of this exciting and entertaining live art experience.

Originally set in the heart of East London and now operating across the UK, Europe and Australia; Secret Walls is a gathering of creative artists, painters, illustrators and writers creating artwork live on stage. Artists are encouraged to have fun, think outside the square and use the platform to play off one another. Artists who have been part of Secret Walls Australia include Alex Lehours, AMUSE, Bridge Stehli, DEB, DrewFunk, Eleven, HANCOCK, HEESCO, HOUL, ITCH, Ken Taylor, MISTERY, PHIBS, PUDLER and Shannon Crees.

The concept is simple but the result is a display of amazing artwork by the world’s best artists in a way that is rarely seen. Similar to the way MC’s battle, Secret Wall’s artists go head to head over 90 minutes with only black markers, black acrylic paint and a white wall. No pencils/ sketches should be on stage or used and the battles are judged by 2 judges with the crowd vote making up the third vote, sending one artist through to the next round until the remaining 2 artists compete for the grand final victory.
