By entering The Sunday Times ‘Pack Your Bags’ competition, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
STANDARD TERMS
• Information about how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.
PROMOTER’S DETAILS
The Promoters are The Sunday Times. A Division of Nationwide News Pty Ltd, 34 Stirling Street, Perth WA 6000 ACN 008 438 828, Holidayplanet ABN 96 095 933 869 and Smiths Beach Resort ABN 32654582326.

WHO CAN ENTER?
• Entry is open to all residents of WA where The Sunday Times is distributed. All entrants
under the age of 18 must obtain the prior permission of a parent or guardian over the age of 18 to enter. If the winner is under the age of 18 the prize money may be awarded to a parent or guardian at the absolute discretion of the promoters.
• The Promoters and their immediate families, associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de- facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, step- parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
• The Promoters reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including but not limited to verifying an entrant’s age) and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions of entry
HOW TO ENTER
• There are three coupons each week drawn as follows:
Week One – Competition opens at 4.00pm on Saturday, July 14 and closes at noon on Friday, July 20, 2012 (Week one competition period).
Week Two – Competition opens at 4.00pm on Saturday, July 21 and closes at noon on Friday, July 27, 2012 (Week two competition period).
Week Three – Competition opens at 4.00pm on Saturday, July 28 and closes at
noon on Friday, August 3, 2012 (Week three competition period).
• To enter readers are required to complete the coupon in ESCAPE each week, tell us where they want to go on holiday and post to The Sunday Times/Pack Your Bags
Competition, GPO Box 2965, Perth, WA 6800.
• All competitions will be drawn at The Sunday Times – 34-50 Stirling Street, Perth, WA,
6800 each respective Friday.


• Only original coupons will be accepted. Photocopies, scanned copies or facsimiles will be
deemed as invalid.
• Winners will be contacted by phone by a member of The Sunday Times.

• There will be six prizes drawn each Friday –
WEEK ONE – Sunday, July 14, 2012
1 x Major Prize winner:
$10,000 Holidayplanet travel voucher
a) Not Transferable. Cannot be redeemed for cash.
b) Must be booked before 31st December 2012
c) Travel taken between 1st October 2012-31st October 2013.
d) Two Persons must travel together at all times.
e) The $10,000 Voucher can be redeemed against all Air & Land Products. It cannot
be used purely for Air Travel. At least 40% of the voucher value must be used on accommodation. The Voucher value cannot be split over more than one trip.
5 x Runner Up Prize winners:
Two (2) nights in a 1-Bedroom split-level Apartment (suitable for couples)
a) Prizes are valid for use within 12 months from date of the prize being drawn, excluding periods 24Dec-15Jan, Easter, and special concert weekends.
b) Accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking and is valid for the maximum number of people shown.
c) Unused accommodation can not be refund or exchanged.
d) The packages are based on room only. All meals, transport and items of a
personal nature are not included.
PRIZES

WEEK TWO – Sunday, July 21, 2012
1 x Major Prize winner:

i) Two Persons must travel together at all times.
j) The $10,000 Voucher can be redeemed against all Air & Land Products. It cannot

Two (2) nights in a 2-Bedroom Beach Shack (suitable for families up to 6)
e) Prizes are valid for use within 12 months from date of the prize being drawn, excluding periods 24Dec-15Jan, Easter, and special concert weekends.
f) Accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking and is valid for the maximum number of people shown.
g) Unused accommodation can not be refund or exchanged.
h) The packages are based on room only. All meals, transport and items of a
personal nature are not included.

5 x Runner Up Prize winners:
Two (2) nights in a 2-Ocean View Villa (suitable for up to 4 adults)
i) Prizes are valid for use within 12 months from date of the prize being drawn, excluding periods 24Dec-15Jan, Easter, and special concert weekends.
j) Accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking and is valid for the maximum number of people shown.
k) Unused accommodation can not be refund or exchanged.
l) The packages are based on room only. All meals, transport and items of a
personal nature are not included.
• Prizes are non-transferable, not extendable, cannot be redeemed for cash and are not valid in conjunction with any other offers. There can be no changes made to travel arrangements once tickets are issued.
• Any add-ons by way of travel, insurance, tours and other items of a personal nature will need to be arranged and paid for by the prize winner. Any additional expenses such as taxis, travel insurance etc. will also be the responsibility of the winner to organise and pay for.
• In the event a major prize winner is country based, the recipient of the prize must make their own way to Perth to collect/redeem the airfare component of the prize. Prizes do not include transport to and from Perth Domestic or Perth International Airport.
• Additional terms and conditions may apply. All winners will be advised upon time of booking or upon receiving their vouchers.
• It is each respective winner’s own responsibility to organise and book their own prize/ accommodation and flights with each supplier.
• Accepting their prize, winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and/or photographed. The winners agree to grant the Promoters a perpetual and non-exclusive license to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
• The winners agree they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or any other organisation.
• The prize will be awarded in the form of a voucher or letter and will need to be collected from The Sunday Times (34-50 Stirling Street, Perth, WA 6800). Under no circumstance

will this voucher be posted and will be held for a two-month period upon at this time it
will be donated to charity.
• In the event that for any reason whatsoever the prize winner does not take the prize at
the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will be
forfeited by the prize winner.
• Prizes are not transferable, re-routable or redeemable for cash or other goods or
services.
• All unclaimed prizes remain the property of the promoter (The Sunday Times).
NO LIABILTY
• In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or
significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to state government legislation.
• The Sunday Times and their associated affiliates, agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected prizes.
• To the extent permitted by law, The Sunday Times and their associated affiliate agencies, companies, employees and agents will not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, costs, expenses, misadventure, accident or injury that may occur:
• during the draw;
• whilst undertaking any travel connected with entry into the draw;
• in the participation of any element purchased with the prize;
• otherwise as a result of, or arising out of, or in any way connected with this
competition and/or its prizes.
• If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes
including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right in their discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
• Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these conditions of entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; (f) participation in the Competition and/or (g) redemption of the prize.

• All entries become the property of the Promoter. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information in connection with this Competition are governed by the Promoter’s Privacy Notice available from the Promoter and these Conditions of Entry. The Promoter may use information it collects in relation to you to provide you with information regarding further offers, Competitions or goods and services provided by the Promoter and/or the Promoter’s partners and sponsors. The Promoter may also disclose information about you to its service providers to enable the Promoter to provide you with services. Your personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and winners’ names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. You consent to the Promoter’s use and disclosure of information about you as contemplated by this condition.
• To the full extent permitted by law, The Promoter will not be liable to you in respect of any claim for any loss or damage whatsoever (including, without limitation, any consequential, indirect, special, punitive or incidental damages) or for any personal injury suffered by you as a result of or in connection with the Promoter’s provision of the Service.
