1. The organiser of this competition is Angus & Robertson Australia Online, a division of
Pearson Australia Group Pty Ltd ABN 40 004 245 943 at 250 Camberwell Road, Camberwell Vic 3124
(‘Promoter’). You are disclosing your information to the Promoter, Pearson Australia Group Pty Ltd.
2. The promotion commences Wednesday 1 August, 2012 and closes on 11:59pm AEST
Friday 31 August, 2012.
3. To be eligible to enter this competition, each entrant must make pre-order Have You
Eaten? by Billy Law between Wednesday 1 and Friday 31 August 2012, enter all mandatory fields and
answer the following question in 25 words or less: What is your favourite Malaysian dish and why?
4. This competition is open to Australian residents only. Employees and agents of the
Promoter, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates and their families; and anyone else in any way
involved in the development, production, or administration of this competition, are not eligible to enter.
5. The competition closes in Australia at 11:59pm AEST on Friday 31 August, 2012. The
Promoter accepts no liability for any late or delayed entries howsoever caused, including any lost or
misdirected entries not received by the closing date. Without limitation, this includes any late, damaged
or non-delivery of entries caused by malfunctioning or failure of any computer or telecommunications
networks, equipment, servers, connections or lines; or by any software defects, bugs or physical or
online traffic congestion; or through any human errors and any other acts or omissions whether or not
negligent or intentional.
6. Competition judging will commence Monday 3 September, 2012 at Angus & Robertson
Australia, 250 Camberwell Road, Camberwell, Victoria, 3124.
7. The winners will be notified by email. Prizes must be claimed within 5 working days of the
date of the written notification.
8. Any prize that is unclaimed after 5 working days will automatically lapse and the Promoter
reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to the entrant whose entry was judged to be the second
best.
9. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. To qualify, entrants must pre-order Have
You Eaten? Billy Law from the Angus & Robertson website between Wednesday 1 and Friday 31
August 2012; written entries will be judged in regard to written skill and creativity of answer.
10. By entering this competition each entrant confirms that his/her entry is their wholly-owned
creation. Any entry that makes use of any third party materials must be fully cleared prior to entry unless
they are no longer protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights. Each entrant agrees to
indemnify and keep the Promoter harmless from any claims arising in connection with his/ her entry,
including without limitation any claim of infringement of any personal or proprietary right of any person.
11. The submission of an entry automatically constitutes and is deemed a grant by the entrant
to the Promoter of a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to edit, publish, translate, modify,
adapt, make available, communicate to the public and distribute the entry (or any part thereof) for any
purpose throughout the world in any media now known or hereafter invented. Each entrant hereby
unconditionally and irrevocably consents to any of the foregoing acts being done with respect to his/ her
entry without attribution of authorship. Each entrant undertakes to complete any necessary
documentation to formalise the licence. Please do not submit materials to us if you do not want to grant
such rights to the Promoter.
12. All entries become the property of Pearson Australia Group Pty Ltd.
13. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
14. The prize includes:
• Two places on the MALAYSIA UNIQUE CULINARY TOUR – hosted by Billy Law
from Wednesday 31 October to Thursday 8 November, 2012; dates are fixed and
are non-transferable.
• Return flights (international airfares and taxes) to Kuala Lumpur from your nearest
Australian capital city and twin share accommodation.
The Malaysia Unique Culinary Tour includes: 8 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 4 dinners; private coach
transfers with English speaking guide; 3 nights accommodation at Parkroyal Hotel – Kuala Lumpar; 1
night accommodation at the Holiday Inn Hotel – Melaka; 3 nights accommodation at the G Hotel –
Penang; full day Kuala Lumpar Heritage Tour; private Malay kampung cuisine Cooking Class at Bayan
Indah Retreat; half day Melaka Orientation Tour; exclusive Nyonya cuisine cooking demonstration and
dinner with celebrity chef Florence Tan; private full day Penang Food Trail Tour; private Tropical Spice
Garden Tour and hands-on cooking class; private half day Hill and Temple Tour; entrance fees for
sightseeing included in the itinerary; professional services of a Travel Managers representative.
15. It is the responsibility of the traveller to check all visa requirements and ensure they
travel with a passport that is valid for at least six months before expiry. Health and travel
insurance are the responsibility of the traveller. The prize excludes any early check-in or late
check-outs; any meals and beverages other than those specified; any insurance, passport and
visa fees; personal expenditure including laundry, gratuities, tips and taxes.
16. Prize is not transferable and is not redeemable for cash or any other goods or services.
Angus & Robertson Australia Online does not take any responsibility for any costs incurred by The
Malaysia Unique Culinary Tour; this is the sole responsibility of the prize winner. If for any reason the
promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion
(subject always to any direction given by a relevant authority) to cancel, terminate, extend, modify or
suspend the competition or the prize at any time. The Promoter may at its sole discretion disqualify any
entry where the entry or its submission does not comply with any of these Competition Terms and
Conditions, or any individual who tampers or interferes with the participation process.
17. Each entrant consents to the collection and use of his/ her personal information by the
Promoter for purposes related to the Promotion (including without limitation notifying and publicly
announcing the entrant determined to be the winner) or for direct marketing by the Promoter, in
accordance with applicable laws including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The Promoter’s Privacy policy is

18. Each entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. Each entrant indemnifies
the Promoter against, and to the fullest extent permitted by law releases the Promoter from, any claim,
liability, loss, cost, damage or expense howsoever arising out of, or in connection with, the prize or use
thereof, the entrant’s entry, or this competition including (but not limited to) personal injury and damage
to property and whether direct, indirect, special, consequential or foreseeable, and whether due to some
negligent act or omission or otherwise.
