Can I play?This promotion is open only to
legal residents of Australia, aged 18 years or older at the time of the promotion. You can’t enter this promotion if you (or your immediate families or housemates) are employed by Lonely Planet, Jetstar, Nikon, MBL, Manuell or any participating retail outlet, or the subsidiaries and affiliated companies of any of the above.
How do I play?To enter this promotion, eligible entrants must, during the promotional period:
purchase any Lonely Planet product featuring a promotional sticker from a participating retail store; and
go to
www.lonelyplanet.com/jetstar, follow the prompts to the online entry form, enter all the requested details including the unique code found on the promotional sticker and submit the fully completed online entry form.
Each entrant will be notified immediately online as to whether they have won an instant win prize. The promotion
commences at 9am AEST on Saturday, 7th July, 2012 and ends at 11.59pm AEST on Sunday 2nd September, 2012 (for purchases made via participating retailers no later than 5pm that day). You can enter as many times as you like, but each entry must be submitted separately and be accompanied by a separate unique code. Entries are received at the time Lonely Planet receives them. If your entry gets lost in cyberspace or doesn’t arrive for any other reason, that’s not Lonely Planet’s fault. Lonely Planet (as the promoter) reserves the right in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who (in its reasonable opinion) has tampered with the entry process, or may benefit from such tampering. Lonely Planet might have to change the dates of the promotion, but only subject to regulatory authority approval, and only if it’s totally unavoidable.
Individuals must retain their original sticker (clearly showing the unique code used to enter) and their original purchase receipt for each entry, as proof of purchase. Proof of purchase must be provided to claim the prize. Purchase receipt(s) must clearly specify the store of purchase and that the purchase was made during the promotional period. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Lonely Planet’s decision is final (so there!) and no correspondence will be entered into, even if you think that sucks. Subject to state regulations, Lonely Planet can cancel, suspend or modify the promotion if there are compelling technical or administrative reasons which we cannot control.

How do I find out if I won?Instant prize winners will be notified instantly online that they are a winner and what prize they have won.
In the event that any instant win prize(s) remain unclaimed by 5pm AEST on Monday 17th September 2012, a draw for the unclaimed prize(s) will be conducted on Tuesday 18th September 2012 at 11am AEST at Lonely Planet Publications Pty Ltd (ABN 36 005 607 983) of 90 Maribyrnong Street, Footscray, VIC 3011 Australia.
Winners’ names (for prizes valued over $250) will be published in The Australian on Friday 28th September 2012.
If you do win…
If you win a Nikon camera, Catherine Manuell Design suitcase or a copy of Lonely Planet’s The Travel Book, your prize will be delivered to you at the address provided on your entry form.
If you win the Jetstar Travel Card, the following terms apply:The winner will be contacted by Lonely Planet using the phone and email details provided on the entry form. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must, within 3 business days of being notified that they have won the Jetstar Travel Card prize, correctly complete and submit an application for a Jetstar Travel Card (the “Card”) via jetstar.com/cards and satisfy the identification requirements for a Card. The winner must also read carefully the section below and the documents referred to in them before submitting any documents in connection with the Card. If the winner cannot satisfy the identification requirements for a Card, they cannot exchange the Card for cash or transfer the Card, and the Card prize component will be forfeited.

If you win a Jetstar Flight Voucher the voucher will be issued using the name the winner provided on the entry form. The following conditions will apply in respect of the voucher:
Your booking must be made within 6 months from the date your voucher is issued, for travel commenced and completed within 12 months from the date your voucher is issued. The issue date appears on the top right hand corner of the issued voucher. Booking dates and travel dates will be strictly applied.
All travel is subject to availability at the time of booking, the fares quoted at the time of booking and Jetstar’s Conditions of Carriage. The standard Starter, Starter Plus, Starter Max, Business and Business Max fare rules apply according to the fare type selected when booking. Unless otherwise stated, airfares are non-refundable. You must redeem the voucher in one transaction only. Any amount not redeemed in that transaction will be forfeited. The voucher is not transferable - it is redeemable only by the person whose name is stated on the voucher for travel by that person or to make a new booking for others to travel (if a booking is made for others to travel, the person named on the voucher must be listed as the contact person in the booking).
The voucher is only redeemable up to the value stated on the voucher for Jetstar fares, taxes, fees and other charges associated with normal Jetstar internet or telephone reservations bookings. The voucher must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the recipient is unable to use it as stated. The voucher is not refundable and is redeemable for flights only (ie. accommodation and car hire cannot be purchased with the voucher).
Jetstar makes no claims in relation to weather or other conditions at the travel destination and the voucher recipient should make their own enquiries before travel. Jetstar, its related bodies corporate, their officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with the use of the voucher, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
Any additional travel booked in conjunction with the use of the voucher will be subject to standard booking conditions and charges.
The following terms apply to ALL prizes:You can’t exchange a prize for cash, or ask us to give it to someone else (not that you’d want to!). MBL will not exchange a Jetstar Travel Card prize for cash because the winner didn't comply with the standard Jetstar Travel Card product registration procedures. If for some terrible reason Lonely Planet cannot award the prize as described, we’ll substitute it either for cash or another prize of comparable value, subject to regulatory authority approval.
Of course, if you win a prize, you must comply with all relevant laws, rules and regulations.
What happens to my entry?On submission, your entry becomes the property of Lonely Planet. Lonely Planet and its promotional partners will only use the personal information contained in your entry to conduct the promotion (including providing it to relevant regulatory authorities, if required) and award the prizes (but if you’ve told us that you want to receive stuff from us and/or our promotional partners, we’ll use your personal information for that too).
