After the death of his father, Sal Paradise, an aspiring New York writer, meets Dean Moriarty, a young and dangerously seductive ex-con. They hit it off immediately. Determined not to get trapped in a narrow life, the two friends burn their bridges and hit the road: thirsting for freedom they discover the world, others and ultimately themselves.

Directed by Walter Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries), ON THE ROAD is based on the beloved beatnik novel by Jack Kerouac and showcases an ensemble cast including Garrett Hedlund (TRON), Sam Riley (Control), Kristen Stewart (Twilight series), Amy Adams (The Fighter), Elisabeth Moss (TVs Mad Men), Kirsten Dunst (Melancholia), Viggo Mortensen (The Road), and Steve Buscemi (TVs Boardwalk Empire).
