Instructions on "How to Enter" form part of these Conditions of Entry. The competition is open to all permanent residents of Australia except employees of the Promoter, their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion. Entrants under the age of 18 years must obtain the consent of their parent or legal guardian to be eligible to enter.
The promotion commences at 9.00am (AEST) on 20/08/12 and closes at 5.00pm AEDST on 31/10/12.
Entry into this competition is via completion of the online entry form located at
www.grabthegoanna.com.au. To be eligible, Entrants will be required to answer and complete the online entry form and simply tell us in 25 words or less your greatest sporting moment or greatest sporting memory.
This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Judging will commence on 01/11/12 at 10.00am (AEDST) at the Promoter's premises. This promotion will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter. All winners will be notified by telephone and in writing via mail within 2 working days of judging and the winners' names will be published on the Goanna website located at
www.grabthegoanna.com.au on 05/11/12.
The best 10 entries, as determined by the judges, will win one of 10 x $250.00 AUD cash prizes to go towards a 2013 sports club membership of their choice. Total prize pool valued at $2,500.00 AUD.
Each winner will be awarded $250.00 AUD cash in the form of a cheque and will be sent via Registered Post to the winners address within 28 days from notification of the prize being won or any other period that may be agreed between the promoter and the winners. In the event the winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner's parent/legal guardian.
It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure the promoter has the correct contact information.
Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.
The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, then the Promoter may (where necessary with the approval of the relevant lottery authority) modify the promotion. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected mail.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Conditions of Entry; and/or (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant.
All entries become the property of the Promoter.
The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of winners at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry and other information relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the Promoter's discretion, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is involved in any way with interfering or tampering with the conduct of the promotion.
Details from entries will be collected and used for the purposes of conducting this promotion (which may include disclosure to third parties for the purpose of processing and conducting the promotion) and for promotional purposes surrounding this promotion. By entering this promotion entrants consent to the use of their information as described and agree that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional purposes without any further reference or payment to the entrant.
