Terms and Conditions for Vanuatu Tourism Office Promotion
By entering the competition, you are hereby agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
1. Standard Terms
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.
2. Who can enter:
2.1 Entry to the competition is open to all residents and citizens of Australia over the age of 18 years.
2.2 Entry is open to all who enter by 30 September 2012; except for employees and the immediate family of Air Vanuatu, Big Blue Scuba & Snorkel, Villa 25, VTO Australia and all associated agencies.
3. How to enter:
3.1 Promotion opens at 09.00am (AEST) on 09/09/2012 and closes on 17.00pm (AEST) on 30/09/2012. The time of entry will be the time at which the completed entry is received by Vanuatu Tourism Office online database.
3.2 In order to enter, participants must enter Vanuatu Tourism office promotion on
http://dive‐ vanuatu.com. Participants must complete the entry form and answer the question “Why you think Vanuatu is an amazing place to have a dive holiday”. Entry must be 25 words or less. No purchase necessary.
3.3 All entries become the property of Vanuatu Tourism Office. Entries not completed in accordance with the conditions of entry or received after the closing date will not be considered. Indecipherable or incomplete entries will be disregarded. No responsibility is taken for late or misdirected email.

Only one entry per person. If there are multiple entries, we will keep the first entry submitted.
4. How to win:
4.1 The winner will be the most creative answer, as judged by a panel of judges selected by Vanuatu Tourism Office.
4.2 There will be one (1) competition winner. The winner will be contacted by the email details provided by 17.00pm (AEST) on
09/09/2012<---I believe this should read 5th October - draw date .
4.3 This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in the determination of the winner.
4.5 If the winner cannot be contacted/ does not respond to correspondence within six (6) weeks of the date of judging the competition, that winner will forfeit the relevant prize in its entirety and the prize shall be awarded to the next runner up in the competition.
4.6 The winner will be drawn on 5 October 2012. The promoter's decision on entries and winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. Internet
5.1 If for any reason a competition does not run for its duration due to a computer virus, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of Vanuatu Tourism Office that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition, Vanuatu Tourism Office reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. Vanuatu Tourism Office is not responsible for any:
(a) malfunction, delay or traffic congestion on any telephone network or line, computer on‐line system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, or website;
(b) failure of any email or entry to be received by Vanuatu Tourism office ; nor
(c) any injury or damage to entrants or any other person related to or resulting from participation in the competition or down loading any materials in a competition.
6. Prize:
6.1 There will be one (1) winner. The prize consists of:
‐ 5 nights’ accommodation (room only) at Villa 25 (AUD2000)
‐ Travel for 2 persons from Sydney to Port Vila and return, using Air Vanuatu direct services only (no travel on other airlines or for other routings is included). (AUD 696) Flight taxes will be paid by the Vanuatu Tourism Office.
‐ Either a two tank dive each for qualified divers (AUD 147) or an Open Water PADI dive course each with Big Blue Scuba & Snorkel (AUD 368)
6.2 Total prize value is up to AUD 3,064 This price is correct as of 28/08/12.
6.3 Prize is valid for travel until. Prize is subject to black‐out periods, and subject to availability.
6.4 Prize does not include travel insurance or any other ancillary services included (but not limited to) transport to and from departure point, spending money, meals, insurance, passports, visas, vaccinations, items of a personal nature, in‐room charges. All ancillary costs not listed in the prize package are the responsibility of the winner and his/her nominated travelling companion as incurred.
6.5 In the event of the first prize‐winner wanting a holiday of greater value than specified above (for example, requesting an extended length of stay or adding an additional family member, the difference shall be met by the first prize winner and no claims for excess shall be made to Air Vanuatu, Villa 25 or Big Blue Scuba & Snorkel or any of its affiliated or associated agencies.
6.6 The winner and his/her companion are responsible for ensuring that they have valid passports, and any requisite visas, vaccinations and travel documentation.
6.7 Prize is not redeemable for cash and is not transferable. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with another offer.
6.8 Once booked, any changes made to the booking may incur a cancellation fee or amendment fee, at the cost of the winner.
6.9 The winner may be required to present their credit card at time of accommodation check in. 6.10 Travel by both parties must be undertaken on the same flights and dates.
6.11 Air Vanuatu may embargo travel during peak periods as decided by the Airline. As a guide, peak periods generally coincide with Australian school holiday periods.
6.12 Travel dates are based on availability on the day of booking.
6.13 Taxes and charges levied by 3rd parties are the responsibility of the prize winner.
6.14 All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the operators.
6.15 By accepting a prize, winners consent to the promoters using his/her details and photographs for promotional and media publicity purposes.
6.16 Travel must be completed prior to 30 September 2013.
7. No Liability:
7.1 Any costs associated with entering this competition or claiming prizes (such as internet service charges) are the responsibility of the entrant and their travelling companion.
7.2 The promoters (and their associated agencies and companies) will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim suffered or brought by an entrant or (where relevant) their travelling companion, during the judging;
whilst undertaking any travel won on or connected with their entry into the competition; as a consequence of the winner and/or their travelling companion failing to be checked in for their flights, or failing to arrive at the airport, at a time specified by the relevant airline carrier and/or missing any of their flights; in their participation in this Competition or in any Prize; as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail; as a result of failure to comply with any of these terms and conditions; or due to the publication of any material, including any statements made by any staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person.
7.3 The Promoters and its affiliates accept no responsibility for any problems or technical malfunction of any communication network or for any late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
