Eight days of free metropolitan transport
Metropolitan trams, buses and trains are free for Victorian Seniors Card holders from Sunday 7 October to Sunday 14 October. Free metropolitan travel includes V/Line train services to Melton and Sunbury.
Please try to avoid using services arriving in the city before 9:00am and departing between 4:00pm and 7:00pm on weekdays.
Eight days of free regional town bus services
Regional town bus services are free for Victorian Seniors Card holders from Sunday 7 October to Sunday 14 October. Free services include: Ararat, Bacchus Marsh, Bairnsdale, Ballarat, Beaufort, Bellarine Peninsula, Benalla, Bendigo, Cobram, Colac, Drouin, Echuca/Moama, Geelong, Hamilton, Horsham, Kilmore, Korumburra, Lakes Entrance, Mildura, Moe, Morwell, Portland, Rochester, Sale, Seymour, Shepparton/Mooroopna, Stawell, Swan Hill, Traralgon, Wangaratta, Warragul, Warrnambool, Wodonga and Wonthaggi.
Five days of free V/Line travel
Free travel is available on V/Line economy class rail and coach services on:
Tuesday 9 October
Wednesday 10 October
Thursday 11 October
Saturday 13 October
Sunday 14 October.
Seniors free travel week applies only to economy class. If you would like to travel first class the normal concession fare must be paid.
