www.research.net/s/cmsurvey2012q4 By entering your details in the “couriermail.com.au User Survey (Q4 2012)”, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions in relation to the “promotion”.
1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Any entry not complying with the terms and conditions will be considered invalid.
2. WHO CAN ENTER?
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2
entry is open only to residents of Queensland 18 years and older. Must be able to show upon request proof of residency e.g. Drivers Licence.2.2 Employees and their immediate families of News Queensland, associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1
The competition commences on Monday the 22nd of October, 2012 at 12:01AM (AEST) and concludes on Sunday the 4th of November, 2012 at 11:59PM (AEST) (“the Competition Period”). 3.2 In order to enter the competition entrants must fill out all required fields in the couriermail.com.au User Survey (Q4 2012) at
www.research.net/s/cmsurvey2012q4, and enter in their full name, day contact number and valid email address within the survey.
3.3
Entrants may only enter the promotion once with a valid email 3.4 Entries made by means other than the promoted online survey are invalid and will not be accepted.
3.5 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify and entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with the terms and conditions.
3.6 The Promoter may also share entrant information, include name and contact details with other persons or entities that assist in running the promotions or with other companies who provide prizes for the promotion. This allowing those companies to make contact with entrants.
4. PRIZE
One (1) x MAJOR PRIZE
One (1) x Apple iPad (Black 16GB model with 3G and WiFi) and The Courier-Mail app (for one month).
Value: Apple iPad $679 plus The Courier-Mail iPad app at $7.49 a month for one month.
Ten (10) x MINOR PRIZES
Ten (10) x $50 Coles Group and Myer gift vouchers.
Value: $50.00 (inc GST) each.
TOTAL PRIZE POOL VALUE $1,186.49 (incl. GST). The prize value is correct at the time of printing.
4.1 Winners will be contacted by phone or email within seven (7) days of the competition closing. Prizes will be posted out within five (5) business days of contact with winners being made, or, it may be arranged for prizes to be picked up from the Promoter.
4.2 Should the Promoter be unable to contact prize winners in the seven (7) days following the prize draw, prizes will be forfeited by the winners. And a redraw will occur (see 5.4).
4.3 The winner must adhere to all prize element conditions and expiry details which will be outlined on the individual vouchers/prize letter. Coles / Myer gift vouchers may have an expiry date of 12 months attached to them.
4.4 News Queensland has purchased the prizes on offer outright and is not affiliated with Apple and/or Coles Group and/or Myer.
4.5 If for any reason the winner does not take the prize or any element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or any element of the prize will be forfeited.
4.6 The prizes cannot be redeemable for cash, is non transferable or exchangeable to another person. If for any reason the winner does not take the prize or any element of the prize at the time stipulated by the promoter, then the prize or any element of the prize will not be redeemable for cash and be forfeited.
4.7 In the event of that any prize item is unavailable; the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize item of equal or greater value. Any taxes (other than GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of the winners.
4.8 In participating in the promotion, the winners agree to participate and cooperate as required in all editorial activities relating to the promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winners grant the promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
5. HOW TO WIN
5.1 Each entrant who has entered the competition during the Competition Period and registered all details in accordance with clause 3 will be entered into the prize draws and selected at random. First five draws will be the major prizes and then the remaining twenty five draws will be the minor prizes. All draws will take place at News Queensland, Cnr Mayne Road and Campbell Street, Bowen Hills Qld 4001 at 10:00am (AEST) on Wednesday the 7th of November, 2012.
5.2 The winner may be announced in any of News Queensland mastheads/ publication (subject to the Editor’s decision).
5.3 The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
5.4 The Promoter reserves the right to redraw in the event of any entrant not claiming the prize. If the prize remains unclaimed or forfeited through ineligibility or otherwise, the Promoter will conduct further draws, as required, at the same time and place as the winners, if any, will be notified by phone and email. The prize winner will be notified by phone and issued a prize letter via email/mail within three days of the draw.
6.CONTRIBUTING CONTENT
6.1 When you submit content to News Queensland in any format, including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio, you grant News Queensland a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to publish that content.
6.2 You agree that News Queensland can use the content of your survey and competition entry data in any way. Data can consist of entry information/feedback/research or answers to questions. News Queensland also reserves the right not to use the content you submit.
6.3 In reference to 6.2 News Queensland can share your data with third parties.
6.4 You warrant that you have all of the necessary rights, including copyright, in the content you contribute, that your content is not defamatory and that it does not infringe any law.
6.5 You indemnify News Queensland against any and all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by News Queensland as a result of a breach of the above warranty.
6.6 You waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on the Site.
7. NO LIABILITY
7.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to State Legislation.
7.2 News Queensland and their associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
7.3 News Queensland and their associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur during the competition period, draw and/or redemption prize elements;
7.3.1 whilst undertaking any travel connected with their entry into the draw; or
7.3.2 in the participation in any prize redemption;
7.3.3 as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
7.3.4 due to the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person;
7.3.5 in relation to failure of an email entry message to be received by the promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion;
7.3.6 arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any internet network or communications network related to or resulting from participation in this promotion;
7.3.7 due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control.
7.4 News Queensland and its affiliates assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
7.5 If, for any reason, this competition is not capable of being conducted as planned, including, but not limited, due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to State Legislation.
