Not so much a precursor to BIFF, but the little sibling that's growing out of its pimply awkwardness and into its own skin, BUFF is bangin' this year. The program features The Colour Wheel - a film about a girl leaving her professor and embarking on a road trip with her brother, The Comedy, a film about the attitudes floating around privileged Williamsburgers (starring Eric Wareheim and James Murphy!), a program of shorts about mastication called You Are What You Eat, a documentary about murder fetishists called Zero Killed, and American movie about self discovery (The Wolf Knife) and a bunch more. Check out their shot-by-shot re-enactment of You've Got Mail as their festival trailer. Meg Ryan, eat your hat.
