VICTORIANS have until December 2, 2012, to enter the AGL Win Free Energy competition.

Now in its second year, AGL’s Win Free Energy Competition offers Australians more chances to win by providing eight draws and up to five entries available per draw.

AGL is also giving Leader readers the chance to win one of two AGL prize packs.  You could win $800 of AGL Smarter Living vouchers and a $500 cash card.

To enter, write your full name, postal address, email address and daytime telephone number in the form below.  Tell us in 25 words or less what you would do with your savings if you won a year’s worth of free energy.  Then type in the verification code and press submit.  One entry per person.  Leader reserves the right to disqualify people who make multiple entries.

Terms & Conditions – Leader and AGL

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions of entry.

2. The Promoter is Leader Associated Newspapers Pty Ltd, 1-7 Chapel Street Blackburn Victoria 3130. ABN: 34 004 337 446.

3. The promotion is known as the “Leader and AGL” promotion.

4. Entry is available to Victorian residents 18 years or over who reside within the Leader Newspapers distribution areas. Employees of the Promoter or its associated companies, employees of any agencies, affiliates, sponsors, sub-sponsors or representatives of the Promoter and the immediate families of any such employees are not eligible to enter.

5. Only one entry permitted per person.

6. Leader Newspapers’ privacy policy is available by visiting www.leadernews.com.au and following the relevant links.

7. Promotion commences at 6.00am AEST on 05/11/2012 and finishes at 5.00pm AEST on 14/11/2012 (“promotion period”).

8. This promotion will be advertised in Leader newspapers and online during the promotion period.

9. Consumers can enter via the following method:

10. The promotion is a game of skill. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Chance plays no part in determining the winners.  All entries will be judged individually on their merits based on creativity.  The best two entries as determined by the judges, will win a prize.

11. There are two prizes to be won each consisting of $400 worth of AGL Smart Living online, $400 AGL Smart Living In-store voucher and a $500 cash card.

12. Total prize pool value is $AUD2,600.00.

13. a) AGL Smarter Living online store voucher is only redeemable at aglsmarterlivingstore.com.au on a single online purchase. Not valid with any other offers or vouchers. The voucher must be redeemed before 31st May 2013. This voucher is not valid in store at AGL Smarter Living store locations or for in home AGL Smarter Living services and products.
b) The cash cards need to be activated by the recipient within 3 months of receiving payment. This can be done by going to www.giftcardplanet.com.au or by calling 1300 079 267.  The cards will be valid for 12 months from activation. These cards will expire in 12 months from activation date. Eftpos gift cards are not currently being accepted at Woolworths stores. c) In-store vouchers. Limit of one voucher per person and valid until 31st May 2013. Voucher can only be redeemed at point of sale in an AGL Smarter Living store on a product or service. Vouchers are non-transferable, non-refundable and not redeemable for cash. Voucher can only be used in a single transaction with any remaining credit to be lost. Voucher cannot be used on gas or electricity account. Not valid in conjunction with any other offer (including another discount voucher) or towards the purchase of sale or promotional items.  Any difference in the purchase price and value of the voucher will need to be paid by cash or credit card only. This voucher will be invalid if altered or tampered with in any way. The voucher cannot be used online. Only original copies of the voucher will be accepted. 14. Judging will take place (AEDT) on Thursday, 15th of November 2012 at 03.00PM (AEST) at News Community Media, Level 7, 40 City Road, HWT Building, Southbank Victoria 3006.  The winners will be notified by phone within 7 days of the judging. 
15. All prizes will be will be distributed by mail. The Promoter does not take responsibility for misdirected or lost mail or mail received late.

16. Entry is available to residents who live within Leader Community Newspapers’ distribution area.

17. Leader Newspapers reserves the right to disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process.

18. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for late, lost, misdirected entries or entries sent but not received by Leader. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entry details remain the property of the Promoter.

19. Prizes are non-transferable, non-redeemable for cash or kind and must be taken as offered. No responsibility is taken for the winner’s loss of the prize.

20. The Promoter and companies associated with this promotion shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including by not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of taking the prize.

21. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster the Promoter reserves the right (subject to all relevant state and territory regulations) to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.

22. The personal information supplied to Leader Newspapers is for the purpose of entering this competition only and may not be used by us or any of our Australian related companies for future marketing and publicity purposes. This personal information may be disclosed to third parties to determine whether an entrant has breached the terms and conditions.
